- It was great to sit down with Dani Loble, who at the time of this interview has been playing drums for @helloween and bring him onto my show for the first time. We did a deep dive into his career with Helloween as well as talked about his days before Helloween when he was playing with Blaze Bayley's solo band as well as his previous band Rawhead Rexx.
This was a fun interview and his story about how it came about that he would record his drum parts on the latest Helloween s/t album with late drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg's drumkit was also pretty intriguing.

the ride cymbal work dani does on the classics is outstanding

@@metalcommandshow if you listen to keeper from the united alive album, the ride cymbal patterns accenting the dual harmonies section (after "throw the keyyyyyyy") bring so much more out of the melodies than the original studio version. just one example.
Uli speaks highly of Dani. I know since I recorded 5 albums with him. :)
Uli is a very technically proficient drummer. Any compliments you get from him are well earned. I haven’t talked to him myself since he was let go. If you see him tell him I hope he’s doing well.

Ok I Will. He is at my place now and then keeping kinda low profile nowdays. Did you hear is drumming on the first Majestica album? Maybe his best playing ever. Me and Tommy (Sabaton) were like kids in the studio hearing all these classic fills. Uli actually gave me his Time of the oath platinum album signing it with ”To Ronny”. Best gift I ever got! :)

he's a fantastic drummer. not many metal guys can imply some shuffle and swing in the genre, and he's so subtle with it.
