- In this interview episode the extraordinary bassist Frank Bello of Anthrax speaks about the Anthrax 40th anniversary livestream concert, and the Anthrax 40 documentary series in which the band explored their own history and their path to becoming one of the Big 4 Thrash Metal legends, alongside Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth. Frank Bello also talks about how Anthrax chose the setlist for the 40th anniversary livestream, and wether they consider inviting some of the past band members (Dan Spitz, John Bush etc.) for the follow up live tour in 2021 and 2022 on which Anthrax will continue celebrating their 40th anniversary.
We also discuss the upcoming new album by Anthrax as well as talk about the writing process behind it. And of course, discuss a possible release date for the new Anthrax album.
Frank also shares his favourite Anthrax riffs and bass solos, and which songs he personally loves playing live, including Caught In A Mosh, In The End and many others. And of course talks about upcoming live tour, as well as shares the craziest story which happened to him on Anthrax and Iron Maiden tour.
In addition Frank Bello discusses his upcoming autobiography book Fathers, Brothers, and Sons: Surviving Anguish, Abandonment, and Anthrax, how Charlie Benante introduced him to bass guitar and how metal music became an outlet for his anger caused by betrayal and all hardships during his childhood. Frank also talks about some dark pages of his life, especially after a loss of his brother, yet shares encouraging message to all those, who are going through hardships, and much more.

Metal is an pilgrim to fans of iron cross.
Cut his hair and is rocking the 70's mustache again? Oh Franky. I understand the pandemic messed everything up for them. But that's only one year out of what's going to be six? in between. By the way Flotsam And Jetsam have put out (3) amazing records since 2016. Just saying :)
Bring on new Anthrax!
I'm really excited about the new album, no matter how long it took them to write it 😉🤘
