The 52v battery gives you better current etc at the halfway way point of your battery being discharged…. There’s a nice curb chart online, and a vid here on CZcams…. nice build tho mate. Ordering my mrs the Famex 52v 2000w 27.5” kit today… can’t wait to build it all up and have a play before I hand it over 😂😂
Awesome eBike. Thanks for sharing it with us. I may have missed you mention it and if I did, I apologize, but what is the brand name of your rear motor and the controller you're using, also the avg and max Ah of your controller, too? I appreciate it you could let me know that. I have a 1500w CSC rear motor with a 30A KT controller w/ KT display with a 52v 20Ah Panasonic 21700 14S4P battery (BMS 40) for my eBike. I'm interested in what you have because I've seriously been thinking about upgrading to a 2000w rear motor so you're the perfect person to ask since you have one right here in front of me. I also completely understand your weather situation too being I live in Northern Ohio so yeah, winter winter, joy joy, not, lol.. 😂
HI David....the motor is a 48v 2000 watt Jauopay hub and a 45 amp controller. I would suggest getting a battery that has a continous 50 amp bms to provide full power to the motor. Here is a link to one. www.ebay.com/itm/352693877332?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8_GFjZy5TDS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=nf0DaSKXQkG&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I kept the original brake handles... Its not required to have the brake handle cutouts...certainly it would be nice... and safer... but I generally just use the throttle...and not the pedal assist. I don't care much for the pedal assist as there is to much of a jump from #1 to number 2 and as far as I can tell the increments can't be adjusted on my kit. Plus if you are using the pedal assist and come to a stop sign. After you stop if you just barely bump the pedal with your leg the bike can jump causing a panicky situation. Throttle works perfectly and you can pedal even while feathering the throttle.
Yes.. I had to sand some off back of caliper with a block and sandpaper...also when tightened I positioned all the slop to get it further away...Even with all that I only have about 1/32" clearance which is plenty.
I had several sets custom made at a machine shop. You will have to put the small holes in them as I spoke of on the video. I can sell you a set for $35. If you have paypal I can send you an invoice. Just need your email address that is linked to your PayPal.

@wahkitng4505 Yes...that is correct. You have to use saw some small transfer punches that fit the holes snugly and tap them to mark and then drill. Didn't you watch the video?
@wahkitng4505 Yea, when the last set sold I didn't relist it and now it's disappeared from my listings. They are $28 with free shipping. If you want a set and you have paypal I can send you an invoice but I would need the email address tied to your PayPal. After payment I'll get them shipped out to you, Randy
