The assault she described, that she dared offer those photos as proof of, would absolutely have been charged as an attempted murder had she called the police. I am so offended she described such a hellish assault then showed those photos as proof. I’m offended for all the victims, the victims who have gone unbelieved and for the justice system.

In a way I am glad she said what she said, as the Jury will surely think "What the actual F is this deranged nutcase chatting about?" talking about beatings so bad as if it's the last fight in an Action film between the baddy and goody. She would literally have been hospitalized/in a coma, then shows photos with a tiny bit of of dark spot under 1 eye which just looks like she is tired or rubbed it too hard/make up. I cannot believe her Attorneys took this case, they must be making more than normal or wanted to just raise their profile cause she hasn't provided anything whatsoever so far and surely this will end of being damaging for them too.

I think AH's side made a huge mistake having her give her testimony before the break. They likely want her words to be in the minds of the jurors for the next 10 days. BUT, what they have actually done is give Vasquez and JD's team Ten days to comb through every sentence and every single word she said to find every inconsistency between her Virginia and United Kingdom testimonies. I think it was a MASSIVE mistake on AH's side.

And she’s never testified to the SA before. Kate James reported during the UK trial that the SA story in AH’s deposition was stolen from her.. and that she had told several people about it prior to telling AH (hopefully there’s evidence of that). Now that she testified to the story, hopefully that opens the door for JD’s team to bring that into evidence.
There’s also audio recording, taken by AH, from the morning after the finger incident. In it, (1) the timing of her waking up to the Devastation is proved false - at was the AM not midday, (2) she pretty much takes blame for his hand, apologizing profusely and saying something like “did I do that? Oh my god. Is it going to be okay. I’m so sorry”, (3) nobody asks her if she’s okay or about her supposed injuries, (4) she is heard stomping up the stairs - with bloody cut up feet? (5) Dr Kipper is very unflattering to her in his interpretation of what’s happening, saying “she shattered his bone”, (6) she really really didn’t want to leave him and she said all the things she claimed in her testimony that HE was the one to say following the incident re: fears that they would break up over it. Idk if they can bring that into evidence or not, since there are other voices beside JH/AH.

As a Licensed Psychotherapist of 20 years, Dr. Curry's diagnosis appears right on. If someone like her demonstrated these behaviors on the stand, it would appear as textbook Histrionic Personality Disordered behavior. Embellishment, attention seeking, and manipulation.
Some people have commented how could someone lie to that extent. I’m hopeful this raises awareness of the mechanics of personality disorders to lay people and to attorneys. Just because someone goes to extensive lengths to tell graphic stories about someone else does not mean they are true. Yes personality disordered people do lie to this extent. They survive by externalizing themselves onto others. Untreated personality disordered individuals populate the court system with long term high conflict court cases which tax our entire society. There needs to be more awareness in the court system about personality disorders and high conflict individuals. It's not a "it takes two to tango" or "it was mutual abuse." High conflict individuals thrive on making allegations, pursuing legal abuse, and dragging their victims through the court system.

When habitual liars get caught in a story that doesn’t make sense, they tend to double down. More than anything, they cannot stand not getting away with their lie. Truth, decency doesn’t matter. Getting what they want is all that matters and to them it is justified. I see a lot of that in Ambers testimony. She wanted to be an ACLU ambassador for domestic violence. She was willing to use Johnny to get that. That he fought back, she is going nuclear. Problem is her story of events is just impossible to believe without any evidence:

Two things that really stood out to me:
    1) She kept repeating the same phrases for different incidents and there were times where those kind of repetitions made no sense. She said several times that she was surprised about his behaviour ('I remember thinking did he just hit me', 'I remember thinking did he just kick me'). It sounds awful but how is that surprising? You say he's been abusive for 2 years, how do you still not expect it? At the same time, she also says that she could tell when things got bad. So again, you shouldn't be surprised? It makes no logical sense.
    2) She repeated over and over again that being punched or hit didn't hurt. She only once said that she was in pain at an incident that made no sense: After the headbutt, she felt pain and thought her nose was broken. However, that was after she had already alleged to have had a broken nose once before and after the SA incident. How is that the one that stood out?? And how did she never feel any pain before? This is in line with what Dr. Curry said, that Amber needs to be the hero and the victim at the same time: She's the one being hurt but just shrugs it off.
I haven't believed her because of the evidence for a while but seeing her testimony live like this is a whole different ball game. It has made me so angry and I really hope the jury will hold her accountable for it.

She kept saying “it didn’t hurt” and I also found it interesting how she never ever remembered how violence started and often didn’t remember how she got from one place to another. As someone who has a loved one who also has a huge victim complex, it sounded all too familiar. “He just started choking me” while failing to mention you hit him first, etc.

EDIT: Upon further review it looks like the light on her face when she's holding the tissue to her nose is in fact coming from her monitor. That's not to say that she wasn't posing for a photo-op for someone on her team, we'll have to wait and see if that was the case. None of which excuses her from making a mockery of abuse victims/survivors which in and of itself is despicable.

As a retired Trauma/ICU nurse as well as a severe abuse survivor I found sitting through her fantasy testimony repulsive. I've taken care of real abuse victims, real fractured noses, real black eyes, real torn scalps. Her non metadata photos aren't proof of anything. Knowing the mechanism of injury, had any of what she claimed occurred in these altercations, she wouldn't have been functioning for weeks after. Slapping a little ice and make-up on a fractured nose wouldn't make it TV-ready in less than 24 hours! She wouldn't have been able to touch it. The lack of seeking medical care of any sort after any of these incidents is also extremely telling. When medical personnel in her environment say they saw no signs or symptoms of injury following an event and noted so in their notes is also telling. California is a mandatory reporting state. Medical personnel have to report any abuse if seen, and the victim has no say in the charges. So the lack of the doctor, nurses, and police seeing what they are trained to recognize as abuse and are mandated to report and follow up on, is extremely telling.

    I was a prior victim of D A.
I had difficulty & was careful going into this trial due to the "rage" that was played up within the press, her OpEd publication & basic triggers I may experience.
I seriously felt victim impact during many parts of JD testimony, so much so that I needed to actually turn off the proceedings. I was "there" in my head space & shook up.
So this last week I treaded lightly & found myself in almost total disbelief while listening to AH. I do realize every story is different, but many of what she said did not make sense (as a victim of D A and D S V & A). First I actually thought she may just be feeling a bit of nervousness being on the witness stand, then I realized otherwise.
I felt myself (when I was on) the witness stand & omg ~ I was so totally different!
The truth is very hard to accept as a victim of Abuse - but in a court of law (for protection & consequences for the abuser) you're sworn to tell the truth.
Harder when narcotics & alcohol are admittedly involved in this trial.
To the point, no need to be led down a trail of hints, no fake embellishments are necessary.
The truth is forever embedded in your brain, it never leaves you alone. You learn to live, regain coping skills, therapy with professionals, etc.
I was undecided in the beginning of all this. I'm not a fan of either one. The only movie I've ever seen of either actor was Edward Scissorhand. No emotional ties to them.
    I do not believe AH.
How sad it is to see a woman do this. It's like throwing 💩 at every true victim (men, women, children) front & center
In the publics already questioning view of any related issues regarding any type of domestic crimes.

Years ago I remember hearing about the abuse claims and just assumed it was true. I was surprised because Depp didn’t seem like an abuser, but still assumed it to be true. I don’t follow celebrity gossip stuff or court stuff. No interest of mine. I recently saw something on this trial and was hooked. I heard some tapes and said I think AH is borderline! (Later we learn she is) I have been listening to the entire trial now. I feel so bad for Johnny and I cannot believe the audacity and level of narcissism of this lady to think she could lie like this and just destroy someone’s life! It’s appalling. Someone she was supposed to have loved no less. She is an abuser though. Doesn’t understand what love is. It’s beyond scary she’s got a child.

The way she describes how she felt emotionally VS the physical pain in assaults is textbook how fakers will talk about non existent abuse. The only time she described pain is the headbutting incident, and she talks about the "searing pain" instead of any emotion, and to me that's the only event that could very well be based in truth. I believe it refers to a real though accidental headbutting incident while she was preventing JD to leave and he struggled and their heads made contact, something I think he talked about. It likely didn't break or even bruise her nose, but I've no doubt it hurt. Even mild impacts to the nose do.
She described really severe assaults that would cause mild to severe injuries yet presented non existent to light injuries, that's also odd to me. It looks like she watched too many action movies were people are thrown accross the room then get up just fine.
And I think that was a big mistake of her. She should have stuck with emotional abuse. That's very winnable and I do believe mutual verbal abuse happened. But describing that level of physical abuse, that's a high risk high reward stunt and if it backfires because the jury is even a little bit suspicious about that amount of histrionic nonsense, it's going to cost her a lot.

    • @dingledo23

The headbutt is truth. It’s on one of the recordings (not the actual headbutt but then talking about it) and Johnny said it was an accident. She was pummeling him and he was trying to grab her arms to stop her and their heads collided in the commotion.
He even mentions it in his testimony.
Further, in the recording Amber tells Johnny she was absolutely shocked he physically hurt her. (Shocked? If she had been beaten and raped with a bottle?)
Of course it’s the only one she remembers pain.
It’s the only one that’s real but how it happened is a lie. According to the recording of them talking about it.

Too convenient....I wonder who her friends/collegues will be asked to stand up for her in court as any sorts of witnesses. I believe if we are expected to believe the stories of Amber that caused her so much pain and aguish...then she will need to provide a lot more evidence. Now as she’s been on the stand, giving a clear performance, I can’t help but think she’s been note taking on the specific jurors reactions to the testimony of each witness in order to craft her own version in order to play into her audience more effectively. I also think you are giving her too much credit. Prior to her note-taking, her facial expressions were inappropriate. She looked bored. She couldn't "hold character" for very long & a smile would creep onto her face. Or she'd look nervous, with her eyes darting around the room, as if she was trying to avoid eye contact.
I think the note taking was recommended as a way to control her facial expressions. It worked, I think. People stopped analyzing her expressions.
She still has a problem with "holding character". Often when there was an objection, she'd loose the cryie-face & put on a serious face; then go back to the cryie face.
Think about how much support a movie actor has to create a scene. She's having to be actor, director, costumer, & script writer all in one. She is completely inexperienced at three of those, & only mediocre at acting. Also in film acting, I don't think they have to hold character for very long. Maybe 2-5 minutes(?) If they accidently break character, it's OK. You just do another "take". It's only the very great actors who hold character for very long periods. Don't they take hours & hours to file a 10 minute section?

In my experience there are usually two types of reactions: You either get totally overwhelmed with emotions or you completely shut down and act like a "robot". So if she would be as triggered as she's acting like there would be real tears and it wouldn't be that easy for her to stop crying once she hears the word "objection". Plus you'd hear some panting. But there's none of that.
I also think that Depp has a shit load of issues and is definitely not easy to handle. But after hearing the tapes and the testimonies I just can't see him being the violator. I truly believe that he kept leaving all the time which drove her nuts.

Having over 20 year martial arts background, close to 10 year career in security, the registered nurses degree and an occupation as a psychiatric nurse in dis-embarking unit of children's social need assessment and intervention I can not but watch this testimony in a complete disbelief. I must agree with the screaming HPD traits. Also having seen bruises, broken noses, wounds, violence and abuse I really can not believe her side of the story in the least. Why?
    1) (Domestic) violence tends to grow in intensity and frequency, as it starts small and grows steadily until the non-related people start seeing the marks, and soon rather open outbursts of abuse.
    2) Bruises create a darker color around and under the inflicted area as the blood settles under the epidermis towards where the gravity pulls it and where the tissue is softer. Swollennes hardly ever is gone the next day unless the first aid has been applied to the inflicted area without a delay. Even with a "perfect" apply there is usually visible swollennes the next day and maybe even a few days later.
    3) People who are traumatized don't switch their emotions from zero to one hundred and back like she did. There's almost always shame and regret included to the experiences which shows on the victims face. The memories are painful and usually are presented with more apologetic way (to characterize the victims presentation in verbal sense).
    4) I challenge anyone memorizing series of events 6-8 years from now, to go them through inside your head and explain to yourself: who was there, what they did or said, what was the date and the time of a day, chronological order of events during each occasion, what was being served, how much you ate, how much the people you were with ate etc. - to get an idea how much detail people forget over time. Then I challenge you to discuss these matter with someone else who shared anyone of these events with you and see how much your perceptions alters from theirs.
    5) And lastly I drop some keywords that each and everyone of you may google and figure out how they relate into this Trial: transference, projection, altered memory.

The thing about her testimony, is that she is proving Dr. Curry's testimony to be 150% true. She called every single thing that Amber will do in this trial, before and on the stand, and boiled it down to the two Personality disorders.
    > "[she] might mimic the way they dress, their interests, the way they talk."
    > she imitated at least 3 different peoples outfits and hairstyles.
    > "With Histrionic Personality Disorder, that underlying drive is to always be the center of attention."
    > she paused for a photo in the middle of testimony, and doesn't look away from the Jury to ensure they're all buying in to her stories
    > "... impressionistic speech, very flowery, very enthusiastic, but nothing's really being said the moment your attention wears away because they're so demanding for attention that's when they might take the victim role or the princess role and even make up stories"
    > she told LONG winded stories with unnecessary details, and just when people were getting bored, the water works and heavy breathing come on, and the next "end of the world"
    > incident unfolds. OR directly quoting movies and/or other DV victims because of their popularity and trying to come off as a true victim
    > "She approached [testing] in a manner that very clearly minimized any psychological dysfunction, not just that, but really presented herself as free of any problems"
    > despite multiple eye witness testimony, and even her own psychologists notes in evidence, she denied any drugs use outside of mushrooms, as well as never commented on
    > herself having even as much as a single drink. There's also zero context to any of Johnny's alleged assaults, it's all unprovoked and out of nowhere. She's always 100% innocent
The main problem that I personally believe that people are having with her testimony is that she is being entirely too fake. She would be much more believable if she even admitted to something as small as "we were drunk/high and I said X as a joke and he didn't take it as a joke." There is just absolutely no way that she is 100% hands clean, especially after all the evidence and testimony that we have already listened to. Not to mention the REAL evidence that is inadmissible for this case. Watching her 2016 deposition was truly frightening. She tried to make the same comments Rihanna made about Chris Brown with "I looked at him and his eyes were blank... he was clearly blacked out" but if you watch those 2016 depos, there is absolutely no soul there. Her eyes are blank, and she is nasty.
At the end of the day, Johnny did this for the right reasons, to get the truth out there that he IS NOT perfect, but he is certainly not a "wife-beater." I have always sort of idolized, and when this issue first came about, it really hit me hard and I was disappointed that somebody I held in high regards could do this. Now, seeing how flawed he is, and how he is sticking up for himself in the middle of the #MeToo movement where it would seem he would have little to no chance, JUST to clear his name, I think I have more respect for him now than ever. Having been through a few similar things and never getting a resolution myself, I am glad he's showing EVERYONE the ramifications of "Guilty until proven Innocent." Here are some important and relevant points when it comes to this trial:
    - Where are the witnesses of the plane fight?
    - Where are the witnesses of the cottage when they were eating muchrooms?
    - She gave Johnny a knife (lol).
    - She married him even after so many years of horrendous abuse (which is also a pattern observed in some toxic relationships where there's codependency, but the same could be said about Johnny, that was undeniably abused by her).
    - It is logically and obviously impossible for her not to have recorded nor taken pictures of her "punched" face (that, according to her, happened frequently). That fact gets more relevance since she has recorded johnny sleeping, drunk and screaming BUT NEVER he punching her or her bruised face. (That would be the least she could do).
    - NOBODY has testified that they have seen a bruise on her (that's absolutely relevant when it comes to the cross exams).
    - She's acting just like what Dr. Curry has explained. (What is not intelligent if she wanted to prove her wrong).
    - We shall not forget the lie about Milani makeup (at the opening statement). bizarre, please guys
    - At the begging of her testimony, she said the same exact phrases from a movie (I recommend searching for it).
    - Her lawyers were manifestably and unapologetically rude and have NOTHING as an actual evidence, which was so clear in the past couple weeks. If they did, the case would be already over. (👨🏻‍⚖️ Hearsay I guess)
    - There is a lot of factual evidence against Amber, but she probably won't enter into those details cause she apparently doesn't take responsibility for any.
⭕️ And the most important thing: if Johnny had something to hide, he would never fight for an open and public trial, which he did.
It's so obvious and painful to watch.
Ps: just wanted to add that Amber has met secretly with Johnny even after the protective order against him, by her own will. However, yesterday after her testimony she acted like she was afraid of him when he was about to leave the room.
Hope Johnny's Team can bring up an excellent and thoughtful cross examination.

I think a very relevant lie is the red lipstick on the mirror and the claim that she doesn’t know who Carly Simon is… JD and Marilyn Manson released a cover of Carly Simon’s song “Your so vain” in 2012 when AH&JD were dating. The red lipstick said “Carly Simon said it better babe “ or something to that effect. It’s clearly a jab at JD’s remake of the song. It’s not believable at all she didn’t know who Carly Simon was or that she didn’t write the lipstick comment. Yet she claims she was asleep when Johnny damaged his finger and during the writing. The whole thing with writing in blood and paint is bizarre but it is possible/plausible he was in shock/drunk/high at the time. Her claims she was not drunk, was not high, and was just a good wife cooking dinner/sleeping/making her man coffee during his violent raging rape attack is less plausible. If a woman was just raped,is bleeding from her hoo-ha, has cuts and bruises all over… is she going to take 2 sleeping pills that would render her helpless and go to sleep while he is raging and awake?? Or is she going to call security, call a nurse, call police, leave, or do anything else? In the middle of a conflict situation, it’s completely illogical and goes against any self preservation to incapacitate yourself in the middle of a conflict situation that could be potentially fatal. And what she is describing is a fight or flight situation where she feared for her life and safety. Adrenaline is pumping from fight or flight… but she goes to bed and sleeps. I can’t comprehend how AH and her legal team think this is a plausible story to tell the jury.

Now, if she DOES have BPD and HPD, does that mean she CAN'T also have been actually abused? No, and perhaps she just can't help relaying that in her Histrionic fashion? Maybe she fears being disbelieved and due to her conditions she oversells the truth out of fear she won't be believed and is thus actually not believed. Perhaps. The issue is that for every big story with horrible injuries that she has there’s photographic evidence of her being totally fine and uninjured on the same day and the following days either by her own posts or paparazzi pics. if she had said something like “he slapped me,insulted me, threatened me, shoved me” it would be equally as difficult to prove or to deny so lots of people would be giving her the benefit of the doubt but instead she tells these stories with multiple instances of broken noses blood flying to the wall pieces of glass incrusted all over her body him kneeing her on the back and the bottle r*pe when there’s pictures of her in bathing suits without makeup and at dance rehearsals on the exact same days without a single injury in sight 🤦🏻‍♀️ and also there’s the recording of her being upset and yelling at him bc he refused to fight her saying “you never fight you always run away you’re a coward” so which is the truth?
Maybe he did hurt her on one or more occasions but bc of all her evidenced lies no one’s gonna believe the few truths

Something I picked up on was how she said “All of a sudden . . . ” and “Suddenly . . . ” MULTIPLE times throughout her testimony. Using “suddenly” is something that a lot of beginner writers do--nothing really happens “all of a sudden” or “suddenly,” it’s just a weak description. In real life, when people retell a TRUE experience or describe an actual event, they rarely say “all of a sudden”--it tends to be a written phrase people use.

    2. the source of her anger seems to be the fact that JD is BOTH a very rich successful actor and a very flawed individual. Because BPD hinders her ability to recognize emotions, to her, wealth and success come from an idea of personal perfection.

I was a Vic of DV as a teen, into my mid 20s, and never had the courage to report it or speak up (shameful, I know, please don’t come for me lol). I have since redeemed myself and found my strengths. I say that because I sadly don’t find Amber Heard believable, and I hate that. I hate the fact that I am questioning her reports. But having been in a situation of DV, I didn’t document anything. I hid it all because I was so ashamed. Amber documented so much! Where are the serious injuries? Where’s the photos of those? Yes, she’s shown some pretty superficial bruising, but where’s the “felt like he broke my bloody nose” pic? Or the boot bruise on the back? Where are the tears? Twenty years later I STILL cry. And of all the witnesses, does not a single one have the character to speak on her behalf and validate what she claims they saw?? It feels gross to question, but I just feel if it were true she would have documented and a witness would speak up, even if they were fearful of backlash. She is just not believable. If she is being truthful, it’s truly awful and my heart hurts for her. If she is lying, she is absolutely diabolical! I feel bad for doubting her, but just can’t help it. So sad either way. Tragic. @@shortyp1000 I'm one of the people with high levels of empathy. Honestly, I think too much empathy a lot of the time. Anyway, I do feel she should and can get help, there is effective treatment for BPD and unlike many personality disorders it's not a lifelong condition, people can be treated and experience long periods of remission which is great. The thing is, this is a more common condition than people realize, more common than bipolar which plenty of celebrities suffer from and talk about. That means she's not the only one in Hollywood with this condition as it's not really something that affect your career, it mainly affects your relationships. I think Dr. Curry diagnosed her correctly, but that she may have found a doctor since then who has misdiagnosed her as PTSD, something that can easily happen as it's a fairly misdiagnosed condition.
Despite what she's doing and saying, she's sick and people forget that untreated personality disorders like this one can cause a massive amount of damage to the people around them. Consider what you'd do if you had the career and attention she did prior to this and suddenly had intense fear it would all go away and people would hate you if they found out you were lying. You wouldn't come clean, fear doesn't make people do that. Think of a child caught in a lie who embellishes the lie to make it more believable. Her brain is making her do just that, because she's unable to think of a way out other than to lie until people believe her. Chances are that at her age, she's lied often and well enough to where she's gotten away with it a lot and so believes that she can get out of this one as well. Is it as ridiculous sounding as some of the stuff kids come up with when lying? Completely. I was watching along with your stream and I was fascinated at how you all began to doubt her the longer she went on. Her first day of testimony had some red flags, but on this day she was so disjointed that it's turning her entire testimony into a red flag.
She described him being insanely strong despite having lost a lot of weight; she says he's super fast despite claims he's usually drugged up and incoherent; she claims she was cut up from glass but was able to walk around and had no evidence of cuts; she claimed the photos by Ben King were all taken AFTER there had been a clean up and that Johnny had written in blood and paint on the walls; she claimed he used a wall mounted phone which can't be seen in the photo but there was a landline about two feet away; she claimed Johnny's team witnessed her being assaulted but did nothing; she says she has flashes but remembers direct quotes; she says she felt a bottle that she couldn't see but from looking at a photo she suddenly remembered that the bottle in that photo must've been the bottle used; she said he was punching her in the back of the head but has bruises on her eyes and a broken nose; she says he ripped her hair out but her photo shows zero evidence of this (no blood, no scalp damage); she claims he broke the bed but said he face was down in a pillow; I could go on.
There are too many holes in her statements and her demeanour and behaviour is not reflective of her behaviour on the tapes.
Personally, I doubt her testimony because, as an actor and someone whose taught acting, her habits and technique was very clearly on display. It looked and felt performative. She mentioned worrying that the bottle was broken.... on that worry alone I would go to a hospital or at the very least ask my private nurse to look at it or at the very very very least go into the shower and try to wash to make sure there wasn't any broken glass inside of me. Then the aftermath... she said she was bleeding but no bloody sheets or bedclothes? But there are pictures of blood drops on the sofa? Then she said she got up and walked down the stairs and made a cup of coffee the next morning. I would imagine that after such an assault that one would be extremely sore, and not want to get out of bed. Then she doesn't mention anything about using a pad or cloth or tissues to stop/catch her bleeding. Then on top of the SA you would have been thrown around on broken glass and punched repeatedly, and you're just walking down the stairs? And no one saw anything? Or they are all too loyal to Depp to help you? Not a believable story to me. Horrible, though.

They were very revealing and never one bruise-bruises take awhile to go away. And if she’s an actress (who obviously had a nose job) she NEVER went to a hospital or even Urgent care. Her eyes would have been really dark or black and her nose looked fine. Those bumps on her head looked like Botox injection marks-I’ve had it.
I am really waiting for cross examination because when you lie, you have to remember everything you’ve said and she can get really tripped up.
Like when she said Johnny painted on the owner’s paintings Ben King said they were fine. And I’m sure there are pictures still that we haven’t seen. Sorry to go on but I find her so vile and disrespectful to actual survivors of DV. Thanks for your legal expertise on this. It’s very helpful

As someone who has gone through very traumatic DV and tried my best to go through proper channels for justice, going to court and LOSING (used my medication and drinking against me to make the judge believe it was a "fair fight" because I finally fought back) this case is incredibly frustrating. The judge in my case even agreed that DV occurred but couldn't 100% say my abuser was the aggressor. She was so dramatic over the phone that they wanted to send an ambulance. I see the exact same behaviour in AH. Her mannerism, the way she is focused to be as convincing as possible, it’s all very telling. And as someone who had to prove their innocence, I massively sympathise with JD. Amber is always 'I was bubbly and you know happy' when she took drugs. But when Johnny took them he was violent. She was always constantly the 'good guy'. Never does she ever make herself out to have any fault or the bad guy. And there no way Johnny, having been an actor forever and knowing his worth, he wouldn't have forgone a pre-nup. Tons of inconsistencies. That fake crying too. You can tell she is acting.

We all handle trauma differently but the way she recounts her alleged trauma is so far from my experience. Even when she is supposedly crying and then notices the photographer, I couldn’t imagine being in the present moment enough to react to a photographer because I’m pretty sure I would be stuck in my head having to recount everything to such detail. Getting interrupted in general I imagine would make me shudder trying to stop the flow of emotion instead of drawing a completely blank face.

@@KG-cc6qx So for me I can talk about the high level stuff, it happened, generally why it was so traumatic, the process after, with eye contact because I've done it a lot and make a point to not shy away from talking about it. And she will have been drilled on this story again and again so some eye contact should be expected even if it's about something most of us would lower our gaze during. The thing that gets me is the (complete? I don't watch every hour) lack of the "1000 yard stare" during the intense parts.
In my experience, it's not about not being unable to make eye contact but being unable to stay in the room I'm in and instead be completely in my head. It's also very common for recounting intense events even if they aren't realated to DV/SDV and I think we saw JD encounter it a few times. He just didn't seem present while he was talking because he was in his head remembering/reliving.
On the more general thing you pointed towards which is interacting with an abuser... the knife thing was f-ing insane. For reasons I won't get into I ate dinner with the guy who was my perpetrator much later and even a fork and a butter knife in public had me on edge.

This is a even a threat for us, for the society. I hold different degrees in psychology and I am not a fan of distance diagnoses but I am wondering why no one diagnosed her with sociopathy.
