    How about explaining each function on the ktuner. Some of us are still learning and may not know what k.cont is our iat1 iat2. I know there is a key online but not easy to understand if you don’t know cars that well yet. Just a thought. I haven’t found a video like that and it would be helpful to me 🤔

    You are literally the only person who has ever been thorough about how to switch maps. Nobody has ever said in any of the forums, nor has K tuner themselves explained in the manual that you have to cancel absolutely everything related to cruise control and hit the main button before you can switch maps. I thought either my device was broken or I was an idiot, but it was frustrating that I could not switch my maps, and I was stuck on map one. Everybody that bought this device that is as clueless as I am should see this video. Thank you for the thorough explanation!

      No idea about state laws like that. Ktuners are meant for track use vehicles so legally you can’t really tune any car and drive it on the street but people do. Depends on the cop I guess. 3 years of driving with a ktuner on my window and never had an issue but guess it depends.

    • @ThePropperWay
      @ThePropperWay  Před 4 měsíci

      Most likely it’s fine. That car doesn’t have a turbo or anything so that tune only makes you gain a few horsepower. On the cars that are turbo you can add 50 to 90 horsepower with a tune but for naturally aspirated engines like yours you’re going to get 10 or so horsepower. So you aren’t really going to feel a difference.

    Based off your knowledge, do you think there's a safe tune with k tuner for a 1.5 accord , to avoid problems or exceeding the max power and tq it can handle?

    • @ThePropperWay
      @ThePropperWay  Před 3 lety +1

      to be honest I have very little experience with the new accord and do not want to give you any bad information. I think a tune always pushes the limits of the cars and so it really a matter of if you arent willing to have something happen then don't tune the car. I was very nervous to tune my si and when I run the tune I barely ever run map 3 and I drive the car easy for the most part. car companies design cars for fuel economy and not power. you never know what the transmission and other parts of the car are capable of handling. If honda lowers the power to get better fuel economy then I bet they lower the quality of others parts as well to cut costs. no sense in having a transmission that can handle 300 horsepower and hard acceleration all the time if the stock car has 200 horsepower or less.

    • @ThePropperWay

      ThePropperWay if you flash back to stock would it still be voided

    • @ThePropperWay
      @ThePropperWay  Před 2 lety

      @@lordquads it depends. If you flash back to stock and can’t drive the car to reset all the lights then they would probably know something is up. If you can still drive the be the car to reset the lights then they could look in the cars computer log and see that it’s empty or close to empty. An excuse for an empty log could also be disconnecting the battery. I think It really depends on the dealership and how far they dig depending on what is wrong. I used to work at a dealership and so when we got my 2018 si I talked with my old boss (the service manager) and he said if I didn’t go crazy with bolt ons and tuned it he would keep my warranty. When I got my 2020 si from a different dealership and talked to them they said absolutely not. If I did anything like tune it and they could prove it then they would get rid of my warranty. Sorry for the long reply but I guess it depends on the dealership and what is wrong with the car. They also have to prove that the tune is what caused the failure. So if a window switch or something random stops working they can’t blame it on the tune.
