They are too big. I've always been a big phone guy (LG G2, Nexus 6P, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 XL) and have big hands, but the big phones of today are absurdly big. Even I can't reach the top of an iPhone XS Max without losing grip on it. I feel like the iPhone XS is _the_ perfect size for me.

Bezel-less screens are just another gimmick. Can you see everything you need to see on a display with bezels? Obviously. Is that easier to grip? Obviously. Can you fit stuff like cameras and speakers on the bezels? Obviously. Bezels serve a purpose. Going bezel-less is basically just a fashion statement, form over function.

It's far from Gimmick, just because something serves well it doesn't mean it didn't need an upgrade, u can see a phone with bezels after using something like One+7pro for a while, u feel it's meh 'cause it feel outdated and waste of space on front, yeah I also like tiny bezels upfront with speakers but it still doesn't look as clean as Bezeless displays...
i also like top and bottom bezels like the note 9

It's ironic how this dream phone renders resemble a lot with the Xperia 1ii. Black, boxy, little top slot little bottom slot front firing good set of stereo speakers, 6.5 inches 10bit 4k hdr oled display, Headphone jack with a good quality DAC, almost stock Android, 4000mah, wireless plus fast charging.

He was trying to get this phone for review but at that time he wasn't able to get it. But i think now he already has this phone and a review is on the way. BTW, does it make a difference to you so much if Marques approves this phone? Or you just want to see what's his thought on the Xperia 1ii? Because now there are more than enough positive reliable reviews out there about this phone. I have been using Xperia 1ii for more than two months now..
@@rishibappanad high refresh rate is one of those things which are not necessary for performance. I mean its there for just visual appeal. It has no really helpful function. And if you think about it. The 60hz display on this Xperia is very very fast given the 4k resolution. There is no phone in the market right now else than Xperia 1 and Xperia 1ii that runs 4k at 60hz. Each and every phone no matter what brand or price, runs either at max qHD or qHD plus res when running 60hz and as soon as you switch to higher refresh rate the phone will go into full HD or something like that. I'm not saying that phones shouldn't have higher refresh rate screens. But it's just one of those things which shouldn't be the most important reason to make the buying decision.
The bigger battery is yes a good functional upgrade but then again I've been using this Xperia 1ii alongside Galaxy note 10 Plus and both phones give me more than enough battery life to get through the day. So that again isn't necessarily the most important upgrade.
Just think about it. If you're given a choice to have 7000mah battery, yes technically it's more battery life but then at the cost of a very heavy phone so you need to consider real life usage scenario as well.
The Galaxy note 10 plus feels like a brick in terms of weight and size when used side by side with the Xperia 1ii. The built quality of both phones is on par with any flagship out there.
The Xperia feels almost a dummy phone merely due to the weight. NOT at all in a cheap way but in a way which makes you think how did the Japanese manage to make a 6.5 inch phone with a 4000mah battery and a glass-metal-glass sandwich structure so light weight?
About the price, yes definitely the phone is expensive, but then there's other companies too making such expensive phones so just get used to having flagship phones being more than a 1000USD. Also if you are buying any phone on a contract then there isn't much difference between 1000USD and 1200USD considering 2 or 3 years plan.

Honestly, I don't use my front camera, and would possibly want it to be under screen if there. I'm also an introvert who spends a lot of time in public or at home with proper speakers, so I would never actually use the front facing speakers. The way that full screen displays look so futuristic is really amazing and I'm only going to upgrade to one no matter what.

OnePlus has said that the display on the OnePlus 7 pro is 3x the standard OLED they've put on their phones previously. So, extrapolating, the display itself on Marques's phone costs $150 if I'm being conservative. So I'd say that simply: your statement that, "the material cost is way less than $100" is not true.

Oh, no, I know, they want to run a database on the phone, man, you gotta love those fast responses of MySQL when data is cached on RAM. Also, those extra RAM chips that you're never gonna use? I hope you know they use battery even if you're using only 2GB of all of the 12GB

The plastics used in old Samsung devices aren't the same feel as the polycarbonate from say Nokias or the Pixel 3A. Those plastics are glossy are rather cheap feeling.
