Hello from Australia, the home of the XY FALCON/FAIRMONT, this is an Amazing restoration, credit to you boys, every detail, spick and span, have been poured into this car, once again well done, keep up the good, master craftsmanship.
i spent 5yrs building a 64 falcon she,s my pride and joy and i treat her like a queen and i would throw her outside into the paddock in the rain to put your xy in the garage great vid cheers chris
@@classiccarhuntersa4465hey up mate it's strange how door cards on this SA Fairmont GT don't go all way up to the glass like they do on ozi Fairmont and GTs
Maybe a rebate for South African market of a U.S. falcon in Australia where they were made a gt phase 3 did 170mph with a 4 valve Cleveland your one sounds like a 2 valve Windsor a genuine phase 3 is worth 500k to 1. 5 m
I never said its a phase 3. Its a genuine XY GT, 4V Cleveland. No cleveland ever had 4 valves. The 2V cleveland and 4V cleveland denominations refer to the intake manifold and not the number of valves. The 2V cleveland was fitted to the XW GT.

What an amazing restoration, well done you did an absolutely first class job bringing back that old Ford Falcon back to its former glory.
Beautiful ! I served my apprenticeship on these.
That is really good work, well done. Many sleepless nights, late hours, and lots of cash into that. You took great care of attention to detail.
Done a ripper job mate. Great work 👍🏻

Nice to see one restored in SA. I thought they might all be here in Australia by now!
Wow goeie werk julle
Baie mooi wat vra mens vir 'n motorkar wat so netjies gerestoureer is?
Good job i'm glad you didn't make into another vermillion fire phase 3 replica.
Baie mooi gedoen. Geniet dit.
tony grace built my 1968 falcon into the car off my dreams 351 auto
Heck of a cool resto there ! I took the photo used in my Avatar about 7 years ago at the dragstrip here in NZ !!
Nice, but should have put a set of headers on it.
Was a factory resto, so no mods unfortunately.
Can we ask how much your total build cost?
Over AU$50k at the time (2015) excluding the cost of the car......
didn't show first start... only idle... kind of disappointing
Fairmont gt don't think so
Was a GT, with both tags intact. Diamond black, manual with power steering...
It was sold in the south african market mate it is actually a fairmont gt
