    The Navan C30 is the first attempt by Brunswick Corporation at entering the Adventure Boat market.
    I believe they have taken a slightly different approach to the category by building a boat that has a lot of the Adventure Boat characteristics but with a few small differences - that to some of you could be a major benefit!
    This boat is solid, fast, sexy and fun and will appeal to those of you look for a capable platform that serves you very well as a commuter but also does so much more than that with accommodation for a couple (plus kids).
    Also coming in an S version that will be an open t-top styling that I look forward to having an opportunity to trial at some point.
    I think when a huge name like Brunswick gets behind a brand you can only have high hopes for it's future and from what I experienced on this day I believe those high hopes can be justified.
    Provided they continue to expand this into a family of Navan models I believe this is a name to keep an eye on.
    Is the Navan for everybody? Well no, because there is no such thing as a boat that suits everyone. So to try and help those of you with your research I've filmed extra content which you can access on my Patreon - / dansboatlife

    LOVE the sea trial! So glad you challenge these boats to see what they are made of. The efficiency of being able to cruise at 17 knots is incredible. I must say that I personally would be running at least 30+. :)

      So I can confirm you can easily do 30kts offshore. The reason I wasn’t was because I’ve learnt a lot of wives are watching this channel and they don’t really get so excited about their husbands thrashing the boats through waves so I’m trying to also show normal family speed settings…

    Great video again Dan, you're the best boat reviewer on youtube! Proper real life use advice, like how it docks, how does the anchor / covers work etc. This is a nice boat but my heart thinks a deep V (eg, Princess V40) works best, but happy there's lots of new ideas for boat design out there. Am also jealous of that weather you have from here in England!!

    Excellent double review, Dan - thank you. As with many of your other reviews, your initial question about displacement leads once again to the point you emphasize repeatedly: Pick the mission, then the boat. Screaming around protected bay/inland waters, maybe not this boat. A wider weather and mission profile? You'll value that extra ton of displacement

    Great review and sea trial, Dan👍
    Personally prefer the extra space and w'knder usability of the twin engined Quarken 35 though 👍

      I’ve done a video on the Quarken 35 if you want to check it out. To be fair I wouldn’t compare the Navan with Quarken 35. More of a competitor with Axo 29, Saxdor 320 GTC, Nimbus C9

    Actually like a heavier boat and the bow is way better than saxdor and axopar since those manufacturers insist of doing a walkaround in the bow making the cabin small

    • @BoatLife_DansBoatLife
      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  Před měsícem

      I understand the point of a walk around but the cabin is quite comfortable and spacious on this one so that’s going to be preferable to some of you I am sure

    8:50 "Think about your fuel flow...". The twin 250s can be replaced with a single 400 for starters, according to the Navan C30 website configurator. You may lose 100hp but also 241kg of weight. You also drop maintenance costs. You drop a little top speed too, but who is going to be running around at 45+ knots for long periods of time? I'd guess the 400 Verado will give a solid cruise at 25 knots without having to remortgage the house to cover fuel bills. It will also take you over 40 knots for whenever you want to be a hooligan for a couple of minutes.

      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  Před měsícem

      Great points! You’ll be like 300kg lighter also. I’m keen to test a single motor version. Only question I would have is about re-sale but hard to answer that until you get a feel for the orders and how many people are opting for dual motor vs single

      I had Twin 150 Yams on my 31 ft. Been very good. Looking for a new boat but now I would go single engine any time running the boat in Croatia. Thanks for the nice videos!

      Yeah I’d be happy to… probably the earliest chance I’ll get is in Sept. helps greatly when you guys request with dealer/factory for me to film. Opens doors a lot easier for me as many factory marketing reps don’t watch CZcams and I get tired of explaining to them what I’m doing 😅
