      Yes it’s fun ! It’s a very sharp hull, runs very stable at high speeds with minimum drag and in the rough the central trim tab is genius to assist the side trim tabs and help put bow pressure down. . The designer Hakan really knows his stuff. The smaller C8 and X8 are equally as impressive sea boats given their size.

    I see a lot of coments here about useless.
    In Sweden we have a huge archipelago, people have their holiday homes way out, and some even live like that permanently.
    You have to get home and away every day all year around in our Swedish climate regardless of weather. Think about it as a car for the water.
    For this Viggo boats is outstanding, there is just one other brand that can compare, Vector Pro Boats.
    They are very much for private use If you have the money.
    Just like a Bentley Bentayga or a Range Rover, they ain’t for everyone either but quite nice if you can afforde one.
    But yes, the police and other professionals use them to.

    • @rykehuss3435
      @rykehuss3435 Před 6 měsíci +2

      @@charley9986 You cant go 60 knots in rough seas. Even 20 knots is pushing it. Trust me, when mother nature shows up, and youre in a planing hull at sea, you are in trouble. Doesnt matter whether its a Targa or a Viggo, youre moving at displacement speeds. And planing hulls are never good at displacement speeds.
      So if you want an actual all weather boat, get a full displacement hull boat. There are many stories of boat owners who have had both planing hulls and full displacement hulls who compared their actual time took for any given leg, and the full displacement hulls more than make it up by being able to go out and make distance in seas that planing hulls will spend at anchor or moored up.

    I don't comment much, but I read these comments and it seems like most people don't even listen to the review.
    How many times are commenters going to say, "It doesn't even have a head!"
    Hugo (as well as an actual owner in the comments below) said, "If you want a head you can get one. This particular owner didn't want one."
    These are bespoke custom boats. You can configure them exactly how you want. For a custom builder the only limitations are physics and imagination. I bet they could even stretch the hull for you. If you have to ask about prices for customization options unfortunately you probably can't afford this boat in the first place.
    Viggo craftsmanship looks to be top notch with beautiful welds and built like a tank.
    In the insane custom boating realm the asking price IMO is fair and competitive. I thought Hugo was going to say the base was 600k. Highly skilled builders are not easy to find, inexpensive, or easy to retain.
    If you want to save a bunch of money buy a production boat that fits most of your needs and is easier on the checkbook. This boat isn't designed for someone on any sort of budget. If you don't like the designed purpose and/or hull find another custom builder.
    👍 To Viggo building unique niche market vessel that I got to enjoy vicariously in this video.

    • @sib610
      @sib610 Před 6 měsíci

    The fuel consumption in Liters/hr. You had said 25 kts @45 liters/hr. Is that total combined per per engine? Also, in the beginning of the video, that manual bilge pump access panel was totally blocked by the aft anchor line. That was surprising to see. You would have to release tension to the anchor, in order to get that panel open....

    • @sib610
      @sib610 Před 6 měsíci

      At 28 knots she does 2.8 ltr per nautical mile, total (twin 450R’s) ie 1.4 each engine. The hatch behind the anchor rope is the location for the water fuel separator so shouldn’t really need access apart from service intervals and high tension can be easily released off the stern anchor windlass for this. You can still actually get your hand in to drain the filter quickly if necessary. On newer boats they’ve moved the roller forward to eliminate the issue. I think was C10 hull number 4. The manual bilge is to the right (aft) of this flap. There are auto bilges within the hull compartments and switches to operate these manually too at the helm. Well spotted though !

      Believe me, as a Viggo owner, you are very much missing the point. If you want luxuries , as Hugo said, buy a different boat. Of course the designer could have put a much larger head in a space in the cabin and a cooker, sink, cuddly toy etc etc but their customers dont want that. Most C10 owners dont even opt for the head at all. Please don’t confuse these boats for other boats. Any aluminium welder will tell you just how immaculately well constructed these boats are…we hear it a lot. Go visit the boatyard and see for yourself, they’ve been doing it there since the 60’s. If you want a mass production boat go buy a saxdor or Axopar, this is a very different sea boat. … just like a 911 isn’t designed as a pick up truck.

      You are correct about that being per engine rather than total fuel consumption. We did add a note about this on the final edit of this video but we made a slight error on the posting and used the wrong edit. My apologies.

    Good review but utter waste of time for an enjoyable day out.
    Not even a toilet.
    About seven different controls for the trim tabs.
    What a load of nonsense.

      You’ve clearly missed the point. You’ve clearly never driven a boat like this at high speed in rough water which is what it’s designed to do. It does what its deigned to do it better than anything else out there, i own one. If i wanted more beds, cookers, sunpads I wouldn’t have looked at this boat.

      You have zero clue what you talk about. It’s built in Sweden and most of the owners use it as a commuter all year around, to get fast and safe to their lake houses and back etc. this is a great boat in it’s category.

      Commuter, way to get around the archipelagos, great for fishing, even a prime tourer as you get places fast and comfortably in chop and you can either spend the night at your friend's guest house, hotel, camping or in the boat.
      Seriously: what do you suggest is a better boat for fast boating as well as fishing?

      You can have a heads if you want . Of course there are other boats that are designed for more accommodation, sitting around sunbathing etc etc . They can’t do what this boat is designed to do though . Each to their own. I own one. I if i wanted an Axopar type boat i would have bought one. It all depends what you want to use the boat for.

    What is the point of this boat? Not enough room to fish from the stern and can’t fish off the bow. The bow is weirdly laid out to party cruise. It has nothing for the day boat crowd. Cost isn’t even the issue…… Who is in the market for this pointless thing? A few billionaires in Alaska and Denmark who want a race boat in the winter ?

    There's a stark difference between the 'luxury' of a toilet and soiling yourself though
