Here is a boat that will appeal to many of you who are looking for a high quality, convenient and easy to use vessel that gives you just enough luxury and no more. I suspect people who have had bigger boats before and looking for something that's 10 times easier to manage would really love this boat!
The Quarken 35 is going to be suitable in many different climates and will allow you to operate it in less than idea weather and still enjoy your time on the water.
Please enjoy,
Dan

"If you're tall...yep, yep, yep...the world wasn't designed for you necessarily." Good one, bruh!😀
Really want the disco lights... 😁
😂😂😅
Love your analogy Puffer coat! LMAO!!! You've started something DISCO LIGHTS on a boat !!!
Thanks for a thorough tour of an interesting new entrant into the Axopar/Wellcraft/Juneau/Nimbus commuter category. Lots to like, seems to perform well. Lack of easy access to port cleat an issue, also no thigh-high handholds forward of the roof top on the bow. Interior quite cramped for big people.
Yeah. I want the disco lights too......and the BIG JBL speaker option!! Great old farts boat Dan.....45kn .... love it! Thanks for the tour.Cheers S
Disco Dan and his Disco Lights 😅 🕺
I live on the Isle of Eight and we have an Axopar 28. If you have anything other than an adventure boat then your sailing days can be extremely limited. You can have good seas to the East, West and South of the island but the Solent to the North can get super lumpy with the winds and tides. It makes getting out of the mainland or island ports “interesting”.
Nice boat, and drained cup holders. What a time to be alive!
I was a serious buyer until the disco lights were off the table, sorry Quarken.
Have I accidentally started a disco lights trend…? 😅😂
Port side opening window is available as is foreward and aft sun shades
As a man, I was quite interested in the interior and galley...
Dan, if I had know you were almost passing my front door on this Vid, you could have popped in for a Bite and a Coffee.
The giveaway was the jacket, Newtown Creek and the Needles. Yes mate it's bloody chilly here, at least compared to south America and your home Australia.
Nice review of the Quarken, however the accommodation is rather cramped for my liking. Other than that a nice boat with some serious get up and go.
Agh a hot coffee would have been awesome David! It would have made for a fun video too. That was the coldest temps I’ve been in over 12 months so I was adjusting. I don’t own a scarf so had to improvise 😅… super cool place for boating however as you have lots of destinations! Enjoy summer, I’m headed back for Aussie winter now
Thanks for the share Dan.
Nice boat
I checked it out at the Boot Düsseldorf this year and got a big fan!
Follow the link at the end for the test drive (will go public Sunday) - it's a very easy boat to operate
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife i saw it already, thanks. I like the Quarken, but my new love is the Nordkapp 905 Coupé ... BUT I cant't afford any of them 😜
Very close to an ideal set up IMO. Would like C shaped seating arrangement in stern. No need for access to back platforms from both sides if you can walk between.
Toilet the weak point.
Hmm that could also work and with the cabin offset you could put the seating on the port side perhaps…
Welcome to the Solent 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks… I enjoyed checking out all the history in such a small area. Very interesting! I’ll need to come back when it’s warmer so I can properly explore
Dan, as per usual.... Thorough and enjoyable overview. One point; you previously mentioned pricing, seems to have disappeared in majority if not all of your recent reviews?
So it just depends if I have the price as I don’t always get it from the dealers.
Don't know if anyone's answered yet, but Quarken say they do provide optional sun shades for aft deck and the foredeck 👍
Thanks no I didn’t know. Appreciate that 👍
Dan, such calm conditions out at the Needles! Interesting you compare this to Cutwaters, all of which are smaller in size. As a U.S. buyer who ended up with a Cutwater, one big difference - perhaps mentioned on your Patreon side? - is the high standard equipment level for Cutwaters vs. the much higher import and then options costs with these N Euro products.
Absolutely Jack the Cutwater comes with everything you need right off the bat. No need to add anything to the spec so very interesting how that model works for them. But I also think they are very focused on a specific client and a lot of the brands I test are focusing on a global market where the needs change depending on the region. Like in Singapore where I am this week you will option the boat very differently to Europe.
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Very true, Dan. Seems like Fluid Motion sees two basic audiences for their Ranger Tugs & Cutwaters: the Northwest with its grey skies and standard heater, and the sweaty Southeast and Chesapeake with its standard air con. Lots if bells, whistles, gimmicks and gadgets come with each boat....but they sure do lack the clean understated lines of the Scandinavian designs.
needs a chandelier😂
Can you make a video about Parker Sorento 100?
I did introduce myself to them last year at Sydney Boat Show but they brushed me off so i'm not sure is the honest answer lol
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Hey, let’s bombard them with lots of e-mails all together.😀 We would love to see your honest opinion about that boat, looks like a very good all around weekender. I hope they will turn back soon positively. 🙏
The heads being a bit elevated is way too small for a 35ft boat. Should have standing headroom for that..
I’ll pass that onto Quarken factory as feedback - Thankyou
There is just no way that would have been possible because of how "shallow" the shape of the hull is. It would have had to be in the middle of the boat for that to be possible. I don't think the axopar boats have that either. My cousin actually worked on the design of the boat. Boats like Sargo, which he has also helped design have much deeper hulls.
@@atnfn thanks for the information 👍👍
the range would be interesting at best cruise speed
Check out the test drive video (Link at the end)
No TV?
Don’t need it mate - it’s got disco lights
Haha
when you gonna get hold of a sargo or a nord star to play with seeing your freezing ya bits off in the uk 🤣
I don’t know anyone from either company so I’m not sure. Feel free to connect me if you do!
Please do a pursuit os405
I don’t know anyone from Pursuit but feel free to connect me if you do as I’m familiar with the brand.
This boat needs a window that can be opened on the port site.
So apparently it's an option. I agree for Aus it would be better
Yep, I made that comment as well. Really LOVE this one.
Guests? Guests? Tell ‘em to FO
😅
they never get the head height right in the head, ok for dwarfes and gnomes but im an aussie thats 6ft tall and eats vegimite!
Haha eats Vegemite that’s a classic 😅… I’ll tell the factory as you’re not the first one with this feedback - thanks 🙏
The side seats need backs to them. Guarantee someone will go over backwards when they forget there’s no backrest and tumble into the water.
You know what might work… a seat belt type strap with clips at each end …?
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife I guess that would be better than nothing. Manufacturer should jump on a solution though.
I will pass that on to Antero the boss. Good feedback 👍
*IS
Thanks! It’s early here where I am 😬
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife 🥱 lol
Hideous, horrible name, axopar ripoff
Each other own I guess. I’ve been around long enough to see the inspiration that Axopar too from other brands to create their own. Seems like every company in the world takes inspiration from others and then applies it to their own design. Feels like progress to me 👍
Too smal for a family of 4 plus guests. No.
Do you mean for the day or overnight..?
