**
• 4/6 Piston Calipers, (6 piston requires 2 piece rotors) also make sure they have mounting bolts.
• SRT knuckles from SRT 300, Scat packs, or Hellcats
• Brake lines
• Rotors - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Awesome video man. No one has ever explained the rear. Have been contemplating upgrading my RT for a long time and I think this just motivated me to finally get it done. Thanks
Thanks man. Go for it dude. Looks so much better.
@@hyr0llr and the most important stops so much better. Test drove a scatpack with theese brembos and they stop on a dime. The stock calipers can’t stop the beast that the rt is. It’s about that time to replace pads rotors and called dealership for to get a price and they said 1300!!! Or I can spend a little over 2000 for something that looks better stops better and lasts longer. No brainer after seeing this vid. Thanks again for the video man. Looking forward to doing the upgrade.
@@hyr0llr hey curious I have RT with standard brakes I want to upgrade with brembo how much better does it stop will I even notice it??
@@Reality2016 my buddy (his car) says he can notice a difference in stopping for sure. Alot more bite comparedcto before.
This is by far the best video I have seen. No one explains the knuckle removal as you did
@@tommydavid6282 thank you very much. Much appreciated
Srt knuckle, rotor, and calipers huh. Fantastic job you’re doing many a great service in this video 👍🤙
Really nice job with this. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Thank you for making this video. Best video on CZcams to explain this swap and it's not even close.
Thank you very much for the compliment. Cheers
so do you have to change the brake lines? i can't use the ones that's already on the car?
Are the bleeder screws the same ?
This is the best tutorial by far in any category 💯💪🏿
Best video I've found by far even gave the torque specs 👌🏽.. thanks for your time and knowledge much appreciated 💪🏽
Question! So you can't run the regular 20x8 rt wheels with brembo calipers? Unless using spacers or srt wheels right
My buddy(his car) says correct, too narrow. But offset comes into play.
Awesome video, great detail! Def saving to walkthrough when I source all my parts. 😈 would 6 piston also work running 20x9.5 fronts as long I upgrade to srt arms?
Yes. I’m running 20x9 in the front and I have no issues with 6 piston
@@davidcontreras1013 okay cool! Thanks a million can’t wait to complete my swap!
@@DonInADaytona just be sure your offset is +18 mm
@@DonInADaytona but your running 9.5 so you should be good already 👌🏻
great video bro, would this work on a challenger RT if the parts are coming from a charger srt?
Yes. Thats what the vehicle i put the parts on is. A RT
Love your video, question, I have a RT and I live in Miami, Florida I would love to do business with you. I want to mod my car out, I’m tire of my old 2016 rt look. Do you do Srt body kit swaps also
I dont, sorry.
Quick question I have srt spindles and srt knuckles with brake lines and rotors and calibers do I have to buy bolts for them to do the swap or are the ones that come on the car fine to run are they direct swap?
If i remember correctly, the original hardware works.
What rotors do I need to get to fit these 4 piston brembos calipers? Like does it matter if they aren’t the piston and I keep the regular rt rotors?
I believe you need the rotors for an SRT charger. Since i show they do have a slight difference on height. Wouldnt want to risk ruining the pads scraping the outer edge of the rotor
Where did you purchase everything seen in the video needed for the conversion??
My buddy (his car) peiced everything together from facebook marketplace.
Thanks for the information and what about for the rear ones what do i need?
What i installed was rear knuckle with oarking brake hardware. And rear 4 piston caliper.
Great video!
I'm doing the upgrade just quick question only the knuckles upgrade is required right? No need to upgrade the hub or no?
I would say so. I dont believe they would have different hubs for axle hub or the front hub.
Do you need bigger axles for the rear if I have stock Dodge Charger r/t ones?
No. I left the stock axles in. And this is an RT also
Do you happen to know the part numbers to both rear knuckles?
Im sorry but i do not.
Would a knuckle and brembos from a 2010 srt8 Chrysler 300 fit on a 2017 charger
If i eemember correctly my buddy sayed these came off an on srt8
Do I really need to get srt knuckles for brembo upgarde to my 23 rt or no ? I found brembo from challenger rt from junkyard and it’s completel set with four rotors and brembo brakes but i am confused about knuckle please do tell me
I would say yes cuz its gonna come down to the spacing of the caliper and where it sits compared to the rotor. If you have the set already, you can test fit it. And if it works. Itll help someone wanting to do the same
How do you get the knuckle back on the arm because Im 1 string away from just saying fck this car rn
Where did you buy the kuckle and brembo brakes?
Parts were sourced online from part outs from marketplace and craigslist
Why does my lower control arm nuts keep spinning but not loosening from the ball joint???
The ball joint is spinning in the cup. Gonna have to squeeze the ball joint back in place and use the friction to hold in. Or vice grip the ball joint shaft to hold it from spinning then work the nut off
How much would you charge to do this on someone rt just for labor also in cali and interested
1500$ for all 4
Including the bleeding of all 4 brakes
Where can I get brembo breakes with RT logo ?
Brembo brake you have to source. My buddy got srt stickers and just removed the S.
Anyone know where I can find rear/ front SRT break lines
Rockauto.com
Quick question I’m upgrading my 4 piston brembo brakes on my 22’ challenger Scat Pack to the 6 piston brembo brakes. I’m assuming all I would need is the rotors and calipers since my vehicle was already equipped with 4 piston brembos. I shouldn’t have to upgrade the knuckles and all that right?
I dont believe so. It should already be ready foe the 6 piston. Ita just different for these cuz its going from a floating piston caliper to a fixed caliper.
@@hyr0llr thanks I appreciate it
@@wiseman5647 no problem, let me know how it goes.
@@hyr0llr will do
what type of front calipers did you use those look much nicer then the older style of 4 pistons
@@5.7_nightbrd i believe they are the same generation charger 4 pistons from the higher models
Great job my guy💯,question..so I can use the existing rear brake lines for the brembos?
not 100% sure. The rear calipers came with the line already attached so we just kept those instead of the OEM ones. Also, thank you for the feedback.
@@hyr0llr ok cool,appreciate it!!
No you can’t
@@vondaytona!
I want to upgrade my breaks on my 19 rt. Where do I get ‘em?
Ebay or FB marletplace or junkyards
Great video bro what rotors do you recommend for the brembos?
That comes down to budget honeslty lol i would focus more on the brake pads. Like EBC or Hawk pads
Powerstop drilled and slotted
hey nice video man, Im about to do the same swap like your, I was wondering that do you use the old brake lines or you use the stock one? thanks btw
I used the ones that came with the brembo calipers.
thank you@@hyr0llr but do you think that the stock brake lines can fit the brembo?
@@gualamnhac im not sure sorry. I didnt take the time to compare the new hoses with the ones that came on the car. Looking on the rockauto website right now, they do look like they are similar, but i cannot give yu a solid answer if the stock hoses will fit
@@hyr0llr thank you for your info man, have a great day
My rt is 2012 do I have to get Srt knuckles still
I would assume so, since this is a 2019 RT and it needed them.
Does it matter what year srt i get the knuckles from ?
2015 -present on the knuckles
13:15 im having trouble with this part it doesnt go in it like gets stuck idk
You have to spread out the sleeves. I had alot of trouble initially installing it. Then on the work bench i had a socket on the sleeve. And extension that goes through the other end to then hammer it open so the arm would slip through.
Were did you get the stickers that’s say rt for the calipers
I ordered them from eBay actually they are the SRT Brembo stickers but I cut the S off
@@Hectorp2015 ok they look sick I’m planning on doing that to mine appreciate it
Is that front bumper stock? Or the narrow body wide look from vicrez?
Widebody front with no flares.
@@hyr0llr where did u buy it👀👀👀👀👀👀
@@kobe2359 ebay
You don’t think just swapping the whole rear cradle would of been more easier?
I could see how it would. But my buddy just bought the calipers. Im not sure how easy it is to find the whole subframe with all the parts.
What size rim are you running ?
20x9.5 in the front
20x10.5 in the rear
I got a 6.4L with a knuckle knocked off. If I buy another 300s would I need to buy a srt knuckle specific or can I use the knuckle from the 300? Somebody told me I can use the 300 knuckle & radiator since they’re compatible. So to say, I can use it since it’s compatible but not the best option to use? Or get one specifically off a scat, cat, etc. for the best results.
do the 300s come with brembos already? or floating calipers like the stock one on this charger?
@@hyr0llr stock ones. Only the last call 300c come with brembos since it has a 6.4L. Mine is a swap so I got the srt brembos put on.
@@xXCrayKidXx i would say a safer bet to get a scat knuckle just to be safe. Or if you have access to a cheap 300 knuckle if your willing to throw the money at it to test fit.
@@hyr0llr I guess it depends your brake setup from discussing this with somebody else because multiple sites say they’re compatible. I got srt brembos so i’ma just buy a srt knuckle to save the trouble. I appreciate the confirmation a lot
Couldn't you just drill the caliper mounting bolt holes on the RT knuckle bigger and still use SRT rotors, instead of swapping the RT for the SRT knuckles ?
Might right into clearence issure with the caliper and the rotor. Not 100% so do so at your own risk
Does this work on AWD models?
Sorry for the late reply. Im not sure if it works for the awd models. I would assume yes cuz the only difference would be the wheel bearing for the fronts. But dont quote me.
Was the banjo bolts different
If i remember correctly, yes it was
Do I need to replace the rear knuckle or not I seen plenty of videos where they don’t mention that at all
Im not 100%. I just swapped it since it came with the car to do it. I didnt compare original vs swapped knuckle.
@@hyr0llr Thank you imma do some research on that but your video was very informative on the swap keep up the good work!!💯
@@Jaywitdahemidid you figure it out?
Did you pump the front ?
As in bleed? Yes.
Glad I came across this video. Do you have the part number for the steering knuckle(driver side?)

@@JohnnyLivesAgain yes sir. Let me know how it turns out when your done.
Isn’t it better to just put the hold knuckle and hub together as one unit. For instance assembly it all together before installing it.
For the rears? Yeah you can do that. Just gonna be a real heavy assembly to move around and put together. But yes possible
Thank you for clarifying that for me. I gonna do that job myself in a few months. I just gotta get the wheels in first and some other parts first.
@@rafarafita3005 no problem. very nice man, once you get everything together, let me know how it goes. good luck.

I would assume so since they are SRT knuckles
@Rolando Robles okay thanks, I was figuring I know the srt knuckles work I was more thinking of issues with the rims or other clearance issues, or possible master cylinder issues

@Rolando Robles gotchya, well I appreciate the replies, I'll have to look into it, if anything I'd possibly have to get different rims, though I wouldn't mind. I don't think there'll be an issue with the cylinder but you never know might see how much it'll cost to upgrade it, planning on pushing alot with my 5.7 so I want some brakes to match it haha. And sadly mine didn't come with the 4 pistons like i wanted, couldn't find one with the other options I wanted that also had the package that gives those on it, so I not want to upgrade, I'll probably get the knuckles painted or cerrakoted when I get my hands on a set though, add a bit of color in there haha
