  • Today I take a look at the Vondior 300WB AM FM Weather Radio. Is it any good? Is it a AM Dxer radio? Is it a big lump of poo? Watch the video and find out with The Radio Geek.

Nice Review, I like this model. A very affordable weather alert radio.

How you doing radio geek love your videos as always I have a few of those radios with the antenna in the band strap like that I tend to hang them up somewhere and it works a lot better keep up the good videos

Thank you very much for the kind words. I’m glad you like the videos. I think you’re right about the antenna. I could see it working better if you hung it up in the middle of a tent or from a tree while on a camping trip. 👍❤️📻

I have one of these. It is surprisingly good on all bands for the price.
One thing to keep in mind is that the radio will discharge the batteries fairly quickly if they are left in. There is no way to turn the radio completely off. The best bet is to remove the batteries after each use.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the wrist strap antenna either. But, it probably performs as well as any aerial that could possibly retract into that small case.

I didn’t know that this radio went through batteries. I will have to keep my eye on that and see how it does. Thanks for the information. 👍❤️📻

I would rather have a pull out 14 inch antenna like the Daogoly.

Great review. It's not a bad radio, but the quality control on it could be better. To have the plastic that protects the LCD display come off is a bad sign. I am not a fan of the wrist strap antenna either. I would probably pass on it even at $10.00.

Thanks! And thanks for telling others about the channel too! 👏🏻👍 I think you’re right about this radio, not worth more than $10.

Decent little radio. I just wish the manufacturers would have an option to change the display color. It's a personal thing but I can't stand the orange display. Green or blue is gentler on the eyes. Good radio for the money. Thanks for sharing.

Yes it would be nice to get the display in different colors. It wouldn’t be that hard for them to do. I think vondior uses the same display in other radios without the weather band that have a blue backlight.

    Great review.
    I detest those antennas.
Well, for a cheap one, it’s passable, providing it doesn’t come apart.

LOL! Well the LCD cover coming unglued doesn't give you the warm fuzzes about quality. I think they could have sprung for a telescopic antenna.

It sure doesn’t give you confidence in the product. I think there are better radios for the money. ❤️📻

I bought the same one for 9.99 off Amazon and it works good but I can't hardly hear it. You have to hold it right to your ear to hear what it's saying

That’s not right. You should return it for a new one.

Looks like they only put adhesive on one side of the glass? Radio body kinda looks like something from 1987 and the display from 1995...agree don't like ant in the strap....otherwise nice little radio! ~Jack, VEG
