Good job man. It was a pretty weld. Stick welding on thinner stuff under a truck in tighter spaces. Did a good job bro. Good to see you again.
Thanks it was good for what it was but I wish I would of had more room for a better angle.
@@adamswelding5052 custom bent welding rods? should have seen me stick welding a radiator support into a early 90's Honda Civic, I know should be using a MIG, but my mig wouldnt work at shop, a friend rented building, it turned out, corroded breaker panel, under 100 volts at any outlet, so that blew my plans to use MIG, however my Lincoln Tombstone did a decent job with 1/16" rods, lol
I did do that in some places but still didn’t have the room to get it as good as I call perfection, in our trade we have to be perfectionists in everything we do and not get into a rut of just good enough!
Hey, thanks for the video! That’s look great! What type of rod did you use?
I welded it with 7018, most of the time with these kinds of brackets they are welded with mig but I knew it would be taking some abuse so I wanted to weld it with something stronger
Awesome!
Glad you liked it I have a few videos in the works at the moment not sure what order they will come out in but I hope you will stay tuned for the future videos to come!
You bet, I’m looking forward to more videos!
too typical. lol. I cant hardly escape automotive world, lol. but never done that. but frame repairs or bracing yes.
Yea I’ve done all of that too! It isn’t bad work
