I've said it time and time again. We will never have a West Brom team like we did in the late 70s. Bomber and the rest of the lads were brilliant. I was at the odlham match behind the goalmouth. And we just went crazy when Tony scored that great goal. Happy memories. I just hope we can get back in the premiership. Relegation looks as if it's coming our way. Come on you baggies.
Bring this series back!
Bomber I luv you
I remember Tony Brown being dropped to the reserves one week, I think in about 1979 or something (yes, I know, it seems unthinkable!). I went to that reserve game to watch Bomber's reaction. He scored four goals and was back in the first team next match!
need him today
I had the good fortune to be there at all the matches mentioned . Utd was an outstanding memory but being at Oldham was something really special. BOING BOING. 🙌
My late Partner Mary dated Ally Robertson..Her dad apparently called in Paddy!
I was behind the goal exactly where the ball hit the net at Oldham i went mental.
I was at man utd on the day of that 5.3 in the Stretford were I had to be slightly more restraint!
