Thank you Senator Paterson for the calm and measured exposure of this very troubling issue. Foreign Minister, Penny Wong does not appear to be fully across her brief and the body language from 7.28 onwards , speaks volumes.
Paterson kept to the point and Wong did everything to deflect from that to refer him to the AFP when in fact it's her responsibility. The crossed arms signaled her intention not to answer.
A lot of shuffling of papers here. Gives a great sense of assurance that they know what is going on.

How interesting… my mum was refused a six months tourist visa in 2019.. However this is allowed! The refusal had some serious repurcussions for our family.. My brother suddenly passed away and mum had no chance to see her son again.. Mum had no intention to overstay.
