I think that the MPs left in the Australian parliament who still support democracy and Australian values should introduce a bill that specifies that any person elected to serve in the Australian parliament MUST act for the Australian electorate, act in the interests of Australian voters but NOT just govern for their own communities or activist groups or interests outside Australia, promote the introduction of religious laws not compatible with our own laws. Religious laws, communism, totalitarianism, oppression of certain groups, hate speech, discrimination based on identity should also be prohibited. The numbers are changing fast, the power shift is moving fast and if the current political parties prefer to be timid and scared the days for the survival of our democratic way of life might be numbered. The 'other side' is not wasting a moment to achieve their goals, if we are asleep and weak, we will be taken over.
