I'm so glad I watched this clip and decided it was worth the trek for. A truly special film that beyond exceeded my expectations. I genuinely hope this reaches as many people as possible and doesn't go down in history as just a cult fav with animation heads. Hilarious, charming and surprisingly moving. Unmissable.
Yeah, The Brave Little Toaster went down as a "cult fav", and the original film negative has never been rescan for a 4K 16-bit release. :'(

This just got nominated for Best Animated Film at the Oscars and I have never heard of it.
Now I'm kind of angry it never came to Norway because this legitimately looks like a delight to watch.
I know right?, it hasn’t got a UK release date yet but as soon as it does, I’m gonna check it out!
I saw it at TIFF last year, and I was surprised how little buzz it generated afterward despite excellent reviews. It’s just kinda went dark except for a theatrical run in Spain and maybe France (?). Neon picked it up in December for North American distribution, but their trailer and posters just say ‘coming soon’ so hopefully they’re just waiting until after the Oscars to release it based on the added buzz it will get even if it doesn’t win (which it probably won’t because it’s the underdog in the bunch). Absolutely worth seeing, though.

This is the scene I watched that convinced me to see the movie sooner than usual because it looked cute and wholesome and I was going through a really bad break up.
Needless to say, it was the perfect film to watch and I cried my eyes out.
I saw the Movie at the Fantasy Filmfest in Germany. Absolutely loved it !

this movie was actually one of the best i've ever seen im my opinion. give it a watch if it's showing near you. it's so amazing i would literally recommend it to everyone. 10/10

The 70s, 80s And The 90s MOVIES AND TV SERIES AND SONGS NEVER EVER GETS OLD, THEY CAN DO A REMASTERED THEY COULD JUST DO A REMAKE OF THEIR TITLES AND REMAKING THEIR SCREEN LIKE ULTRA HD 4K.
That’s all true, but this movie is from 2023. It’s only set in the 80’s. 🙂

As someone who watched the movie, it's kept deliberately vague. It's something you could read as romance or best friends, and the story works however you interpret it.

Don't understand why they didn't reunite at the end... it just doesn't make sense. They were not even official or married couples ffs. So bizarre the entire movie and more leaving behind his robot for a whole winter buried in the beach?? He could have just swim or rented a boat?? Ah cmon,,, what a joke lol
For the first one, it was definitely implied that their relationship became something more than just friends over time because the metaphor and the end for this movie wouldn't work if they weren't something. And for the second one, I don't think it'd be that easy to just swim, rent or like get robot out the beach. Maybe dog could've reported to someone since robot is his property basically??

Nothing about it.. don't like the style don't like the robot... the the way the dog acts gives me the creeps... none of it makes any sense... i guess it's just a clip?...
maybe i am just in a grumpy mood... but it feels ... 'meh'...to me...
