I'm amazed with the detail of 1980's Manhattan. I love the ending. That's just how life is.

I like the ending sure they don't reunite but they got new friends now and they can't just abandon them it's better to move on and continue with your life than just go back to the past

I watched this and the cinema was empty… but I got to enjoy this charming film by myself… which was very bizarre… but still it’s a fun film

Last night watched it with my gf and inlaws, thought the room woukd be empty but it was crowded and we all had a good time. Left in a great mood, loved every scene and everything about it.a great movie abaout friendship and moving on.
This movie broke my heart. I read the book when I was younger. This time, they introduced a whole new tone, but nevertheless, the message is still the same. Sometimes, things don't work out. But then it leads you to what will. Life can be unexpected, but what's meant to be will be. It may not be like the past, but time waits for no one, and life goes on where ever you are. Suddenly, you find yourself living a new, beautiful life. And instead of longing for the past, you learn to appreciate the present of now, and what it has become. Bittersweet, just like how I remembered it.
Oh man, I remember reading the book all those years ago! I'm so stoked they actually made a movie of this!
I just saw the movie and it was so beautiful. It really feels like you’re in New York City with them. Such a beautiful story of love.

@@AlhiaJimenez Indie theater in my town. Unfortunately, it was only for one night and I got lucky. Assuming you're in the US, it said they'll have an official release in theaters May 31st.

Never thought a film could hit more more than this without any dialogue or wacky cartoon scenes, felt very surreal and down to earth. Shake it didn’t win best animated at the Oscars 😩

An absolute gem. The filmmakers should be very proud of this emotionally driven detailed experience….the themes are so relevant to everyone who has ever been lonely or had to accept loss….see it on a big screen 🎉
I watched it in my local Cinema Curzon and I love it it was emotional and heart warming with bright and colourful animation without any dialogue.

Me before watching it: I bet this is going to be a really sweet movie about the meaning of true friendship and how despite all the fate's adversities the characters could never be apart for too long due to their strong bond, and they will stay friends forever and ever!

this book was such a comfort book for me as a kid and I couldn’t remember the name and as soon as I saw the Oscar nomination and saw what the movie was my excitement could not be contained!!!

I just Saw the Movie, and Damn, This Movie is Pure. Funny, Cute, Sad, Bittersweet, All those Emotions, and told Brilliantly through pure Visual Storytelling accompanied by such fluent Animation. and Probably the Greatest Use of 'September' by 'Earth, Wind & Fire' I've Ever Seen. I totally see Why it got the Oscar Nomination. Wish I saw it sooner, I Highly Recommend it.

It's so bittersweet to me how the robot played the song for Dog to create new memories. Even though it was their song, he understood times have changed, and they should appreciate the present as the literal gift it is, instead of longing for the past. I don't remember it happening in the book, but whatever the case is, it perfectly aligns with the message of the story. Poignant and bittersweet.
I love this book I can't wait to see it in animation Form!

Para no hacer spoiler, solo comentar que es una película muy buena. A pesar de ser una película de animación, la recomiendo para cualquier edad.
Me resultó realmente interesante la charla que hicimos en clase, ya que la lectura que habían hecho los más pequeños de la película era muy inspiradora, cargada de valores positivos.

Never heard of the story, but it looks fun.
I was really hoping at the end that the 2 robots and their 2 companions would all move in together and become roommates/best friends with each other with the mother bird and her 3 offspring hanging out on their ledge looking inside as the last scene. That was my ideal ending however the way it ended is probably more realistic to actual reality…
