A stunning singer. I prefer Barbara Pravi’s version of this song, but I wish this guy had won Eurovision 2024. I am glad I now know about him and will follow him and hope to see him sing live one day. Thanks to Eurovision we are travelling to Paris to see Barbara Pravi. Love from the UK. ❤
This is how you do a cover for a song like Voila, you make it truly your own. This is an outstanding rendition. Once again Slimane showing us his true talent on display.
Well, I adored how Barbara served that lovely song in Rotterdam. But still I was expecting Slimane to top that. The thing is that although of course his voice, his passion, his charm, the whole visual was truly stunning as expected, I couldn't escape being constantly distracted by how much he changed the melody. If this was the first time I ever heard this song, I would definitely fall in love with it cause it's amazing. But since I knew and loved the song before, I would have preferred Slimane to have stayed more loyal to the original melody and show more respect to the composer. This was not a cover. It's a new song. Not a bad song at all. But new. He didn't need to change the melody. I'm sure he had the notes, he would have done great. Missed opportunity. Now I'll stay with a huge unsatisfied thirst to hear the actual voila by Slimane's godly voice :(
@@CrowleasPour moi c'est tout l'inverse qui s'est produit, je n'ai jamais réussi à écouter la version originale, et surtout je précise un point, rien à voir avec le talent de Barbara que je trouve adorable ni des personnes qui ont écrit et composé la chanson, mais un truc faisait que lorsque j'essayais de l'écouter, j'accélérais la vidéo, ça n'accrochait pas du tout, je ne savais pas du tout de quoi ça parlait bref, et là, avec Slimanej'ai découvert cette cette chanson j'adore trop cette version de slimane.
@@Crowleas This is why i like this, Slimane has made it his own. I adore both and there is certainly room for both versions. Exceptional song writing perfectly displayed once again.
Both just blow me away!! I love the passion and visceral emotion of both. Barbara's has so much energy, I feel as if I am witnessing a hurricane in action, the explosive snap of her feeling. Slimane's, on the other hand, is like the march toward the inevitable, less frantic but no less powerful. They're both so impactful!!

Je découvre seulement maintenant ...J'en ai les larmes aux yeux... Emerveillée d'être de nouveau tant touchée par l'interprétation d'une chanson (comme je l'ai été de nombreuses fois par Florent Pagny). Dommage que la prestation à Malmö de "Mon amour" n'ait pas conquis les jurys alors que le public l'a été beaucoup plus... Amour, paix et sobriété... c'était inoubliable !

Barbar Pravi could won every other year of Eurovision other than Eurovision 2021.After corona people just choose rock over french ballad.
She’s won Junior Eurovision twice as a songwriter, co-writing two of France’s three winning entries of the last four years. (She co-wrote the winning entries from Junior Eurovision 2020 and 2022. The only one she hasn’t had a hand in writing was the most recent one, which won Junior Eurovision 2023.) She really has a knack for writing very kid-friendly songs (and both of the winning entries she co-wrote sound like songs kids would actually sing).
I think she’ll eventually make a return to Eurovision at some point and hopefully once again with a strong song.
