- In this episode, I am trying to cross the only landborder between Nigeria and Cameroon that is currently open for foreigners to cross, due to safety concerns in the North as well as South. But before I get to the border, I have still some distance to cover on the Nigeria side, and these mountains are hard to get across...

I was wondering if it was Adamawa State but then, the distance she covered so far didn’t fit into Adamawa state. I’m guessing she is traveling via Nasarawa Benue axis and then into Taraba State. As a Nigerian, born in Nigeria and living in Nigeria all through my life I never knew how beautiful this land called Nigeria is... Nigerians need to start moving around Nigeria... Thank you my sweetheart Foreigner for showing me the part of my country I never knew existed
That is quite strange to hear that the Nigerians are not aware that they have highlands like this. Nigerians should travel within Nigeria more. Maybe it is also because the roads are not paved and that's why not many people go to those places. It is indeed difficult to travel in those areas especially by car.
Those highlands are located in Taraba state. I was priveleged to experience part of it (Gembu Hills). I can assure you that it is the most beautiful scenery you'd see.
There's this wildlife park - Gashaka-Gumti spans thousands of miles, stretching to the borders of Cameroun and bounding other states. We made it late so we couldn't enjoy the complete tour.

Scenes like you mentioned, while just a several second time interval in the video have a massive impact. Those cookies kept giving. Seller "keep the change" and then she shares cookies with a random passerby. No wonder so many struggle to find words in the English language that do Noraly justice. She shines a bright light wherever she goes and serves as a role model for all humans. I've noticed she has been continuously constant regardless of what happens. What I find amazing is that I feel as if Alaska is really a living entity. Her personality seems to carry through these videos almost as much as Noraly's.
You know the best part? This bike is a simple 286cc thumper. Less than 7000€, 27 hp. But it weighs 140kg empty!
And people think they need huge monstruous engines, we keep hearing these motorcycle youtubers that only go to their back yard yapping on and on about these 250kg monsters with 160hp and how they're perfect for adventure, how "you need this and that"
Hell no. This is what adv bikes should be. I don't know if Noraly did some work to it, but getting a high performance air filter and exhaust, and tuning it to perform better and outside EURO 5 regs would be all the bike needs to go everywhere.
I am happy that these last videos portray a somewhat balanced view of my country. in every society, you will get nuances and shades of experiences. Most commenters bashed and battered the country due to your initial experiences on the road to Abuja, but now all can see the huge diversity we have. No one was hostile to you all through your trip, everyone was welcoming and friendly, and you did not need police, military, or civilian escorts to cross Nigeria despite how some commenters try to be over the top with their prejudices. May Cameroon be nice to you as well. Best wishes.

I’ve been following this series since the start and I think out of all the countries she passed she never got more praise than when going through Nigeria. 99% of the interactions she had with people where incredibly wholesome.

In Noraly's humble but confident way she breaks barriers with these roadside guards. A smile and friendly gesture goes a long way toward neutralizing aggressiveness. She almost always wins them over as we have seen all over the world.

As an African Kenyan living in Nairobi I've been watching Africa through your lenses and it melt my heart to see how beautiful this continent is most of the amazing scenes that is continent has to offer but then again I lay back and weep for this motherland with all this beauty and this so much potential what's happening with Africa when you know very well you can achieve Nigeria I've loved the terrains and I have loved the people to me they're like my brothers sisters from a distance and some of the since I just similar like those in my country and this makes me feel happy knowing that no matter what we will always be one. I spent most of my early 20s to late 50s counting calories, carbs and denying myself food. You, Noraly, have a fantastic relationship with food. You enjoy your breakfast and meals, eating the local cuisine whenever possible. Yes, you are amazing, traveling the world solo on a motorcycle. But I don't think you realize how powerfully you model a healthy lifestyle by taking in sustenance, and nourishment, fearlessly and with joy. You are a great role model to women and girls. You ride for your soul, and feed your body. It's wonderful to witness.

For the Nigerians in the comment section that didn't know we have such beautiful landscapes, that is the Mambila Plateau in Taraba state. That state is perhaps one of the most blessed, but the government has not just done well. It is an amazing place to visit.

The village people seem happy along with the children, where as in the UK its materialism money stress and lots of unhappy people, it opens your eyes to how the poor are more happy than most living in the UK, another great video showing us the world, thanks you Noraly.

This is so beautiful to see, thanks so much for doing this. Most Northerners (and Nigerians at large) are like this, friendly and happy people. The government is the problem that is stopping the country from fulfilling its potential, I just hope we get things right.

When you showed the clouds and mountains below you, it reminded me when me and my family crossed the Sierra Madre Mountains in central Mexico. It was beautiful and yet scary at the same time.

It was a very emotional video for me to watch today. I was brought up in Garoua, Cameroon, and we had friends in Jimeta, Nigeria, who we visited regularly. Because there were (and still are) very few roads across the border, we would go down to Ngaoundéré, Tignère, Tibati and then Banyo and then up north again across the border. The landscapes along this itinerary in Adamawa are stunning. The roads were atrocious and absolutely unpassable in the rainy season. So, seeing that the roads 50 years later are still as atrocious as ever makes me sad that not much has changed. The people in that region are very friendly and very hard working. It is not simple to make a living up there.
I thought about your broken hand, just healed a short time ago, and I winced watching you mastering those incredibly challengings tracks. I hope you and your hand are OK! Safe travel! I am looking forward to your adventures in Cameroon!

They are not roads just tracks, many times thought you must be going the wrong way. I see a mosque so Moslem people, some trucks, how on earth on earth did they get there?
@@ragbag46 There are off-roads like this in Europe. The trucks and the new bikes in the petrol station should give you a hint that there is a major road.
@@franklinchukwuemeka53 not 100% sure and I know she loves off-roading, but I thought she said this is the most direct road to the border, I would not be at all surprised, knowing her propensity to take off roads when possible she was doing just that, a main highway would be just too boring for Noraly,he he, also for us, anyway it’s quite obvious the way she handled it all, nothing is going to trouble her too much, wether it’s pesky road guards bothering her for her telephone number or really challenging pathways. Looking forward to how the river crossings go and of course the Cameroon with its problems with rebels. Maybe she will get taken hostage, no, only joking I am sure she will talk herself out of that!
@@ragbag46 Very simply THIS IS the road. I know, because I habe been there many times in the past. The roads are so washed out after the rainy season that it will take time to put them a bit in order with a caterpillar if the region has got the ressouces for it. Communities also try to maintain their roads as best they can. You see it in Noraly's video when huge potholes have been filled with rocks. Another solution is to make a track around the worst bits if it is possible. You see that as well in the video. I know it is difficult to blieve, but it is so....Cars and trucks are confined to the villages during the rainy season (an average of 3 months a years) and yes those roads are true killing fields for them. A motorbike has more possibilities to naviguate the horror......Watch also other Videos from Noraly in the mud further North and you will understand what rain, no maintainance and heavily overloaded trucks do to roads in this part of the world.
I had mentioned how grateful I am for your adventures, but this time it helped me even more directly. I had never been claustrophobic before, and while getting an MRI I couldn't finish. At the next appointment I closed my eyes when I felt anxiety rise and imagined travelling with my favorite adventurers on CZcams. I could just feel the open freedom of riding with you in so many places. It helped me through the MRI and I was so thankful I had watched these videos. As they mentioned to hold my breath or breathe while I was being scanned, I just imagined being high up on open mountain roads or beautiful drone shots. Thanks so much.

The trek to the border was definitely challenging in places, the aerial drone footage in the clouds was phenomenal, and the people along the way so nice and friendly! Such beautiful views of the area from the drone! Ride safe Noraly!
