My 5 year old son was curious about how houses are built & this answered his questions. He asked me to comment & say thank you for making these videos! 😊

People should never underestimate the satisfaction of manual labor, it’s not just a job but a passion, you guys keep doing what your doing
Now this is freaking impressive these are the type of people who deserve more for what they do
do you think athletes should get paid millions?
@@alexsalazar5161 sure, if you can x2-x10 or even 30x the amount of money you make for your team, company, sponsors ect. Sure, you’re entitled to that. Gotta remember they get paid millions because of the amount of people they can draw to events.
Jesus is the only way to healing, restoration and salvation to all souls. Please turn to him and he will change your life, depression into delight, soul heading from hell to heaven all because of what he did on the cross

@@arza0932 By this logic, drug lords also deserve all their money.
Just because the "free market" rewards people a certain way, doesn't mean that's the way things ought to be. We are all allowed to disapprove of how society is currently allocating resources.
I'm not even telling anybody that something needs to be done to stop athletes from being so overpaid - just that it's worth considering. It is, in fact, an option. Don't let these "lassez faire" types trap you in a box.

I'm an architecture teacher at a high school here in SA, TX and I started to use this video to all of my design classes (9-12) and emphasizing how they need to understand construction materials. How a wall is framed and they were blown away when you walked on top of the wall plate. I even had kids say that they want to build instead of designing. I encouraged them to pursue the construction field. Keep doing quality work and informative videos. Thank you.
I tried to build a house in 9 minutes, all I did in that time was finish a beer...
😅😂😭fook Dat
Lol

This house built was on "European Reacts" ...dude was floored that this is how Americans built houses. I was simply impressed...your teamwork, the professionalism, that pneumatic nail gun! The barn raising method. Top notch. Subbed.
that video & the Pakistani Boy Reacts channel is why I came here to give the orig the watch & click. (Might even sub)
This is legit why I'm becoming a carpenter! Building things like a whole new section of a house is such enjoyable and fun.

Mad props to you and your crew! I'm a coder for a big corp and nothing I do will last more than a few years and none it really matters. You guys make homes - HOMES! People raise their families in what you make. May you all be blessed forever! 😄😇
I did this for 2 years out of high school. Sometimes I miss it, it was hard ass work though so I think about it and dismiss it fast lol. I learned a lot and it built my character.
But hey im Fast can you subscribe Ill try to reach 200 subs
How much did you get paid and can you work there after high school or do you have to go to collage ?
Alex Fernandez you can start straight out of HighSchool and be a general laborer the pay sucks at 400 a week. Once you get better it went up to 500 after 4 months. I wasn’t a union worker though. If you really want to get into any trade the smart way to do is look up your local union and see if they have an apprenticeship program it’s the easiest way to start if you don’t know anyone and the pay gets better once you complete it. Also check out your local ibew union for electricians they make more money and get to work in the shade shits a win win lol
That’s more money than i earn working at a shitty, laidback warehouse.
Demon warehouse equals modern slave plantations in my opinion I’d never work warehouse again

Nice editing Matt! Especially liked watching the walls being raised. Can't wait to see you side this place. PLEASE record LOTS of footage and commentary. I could watch a whole video on just siding.
I dont think there doing the siding most framing crews dont just get it done then onto the next one
Really enjoying watching the videos man. Look forward to continuing watching more, and the instructional ones as well.

I love your videos, it inspires me and gives me more motivation to work on construction. I learn a lot and thank you so much for sharing. :) I’m from Norway, and will soon be working in a carpentry business. I’m 18 years old and go now on High School - learns about carpentry.
Helps to understand the process. I’m building my own house this year, need to know the “anatomy’ of the process. Thank you
The best thing you can do is get an understanding of materials. Also make sure before any walls go up you take a walk inside and get a feel for space. A lot of times clients don’t understand how much space they will have untill they are literally standing there and think “hey gee we actually need more room for this”. Make sure your doing these walk throughs early on with your contractor so you can adjust things as necessary. As always MAKE SURE ITS IN WRITING.
Btw this is one part of home building after the framing is done for this house there is still A LOT of work that needs to be done. Like months out still depending on the crew. Also depending on where this was built the formwork is also a lot of work.
Just understand things don’t always go to plan (they never do) and that it will get crazy at times but hang in.
I’m really excited and greatful that I am able to buy land and start the groundwork for building my own house. This is a awesome video thank you
Your the man! I want to build my own home. Picking up the knowledge so I can one shot it

Great video Matt! Can not believe the code related components added to your builds!
I grew up in Los Angeles, this is exactly how I learned to frame, then I went to track houses, I was a piecing addict
I pieced everything, I'm a framing contractor 42 years framing
I still love it as much as when I got into it
My mom said when I was 3years years old I told I'm going to be a framer, and it's exactly what I got into
Wow that's really impressive. You're lucky you found what you love to do so many people go through life not knowing what they were made to do.
Great video, I’m just getting into making videos at work and have been taking pointers from you.. and I like your work
Good work man! Just started watching your content and as a carpenter myself it's quite entertaining and pleasing to see our trade getting some good exposure that isn't boring and cringy.

Looks great building a house under those conditions but here in finland while it rains snow and rains all the time it's a little different lol to keep the house dry

My 5 year old daughter asked me how houses are made, this video was perfect and very intriguing. Great job you guys do!
Layout a n d detail, used to do it for 2 yrs. Amazing how much can be memorized. Five and a half back. Wow!

i'm french and it's all Chinese to me, "inch, foot....." but
i'm impressed by the speed and know-how to build a house in America, you are well equipped tools, it's a pleasure to watch your video
Probably took them a week that home was done with beams already bought built. But most homes you have to build all those weird shaped beams our selfs and most homes have basements making it a lot more work and building of support beams down below but with the right team and working 10 - 12 hours 5 days a week you can get it down 3 - 5 weeks depends on the team's size
I feel like I can build a house now thanks. Going to get started😁
Great video, as a 4th gen carpenter out of Philly, I absolutely HATE the hammer thrown upside down in the back, put a holder back there or the side! Wait until it falls out and hits someone below you lol. Great work guys!
Good idea to router the windows! Always used a chainsaw myself but that's way more likely to cut your face in half lol.

I've never heard of any billionaire or
millionaire who got rich accidentally it's all premeditated. This brings me to why investing holds the most power when it comes to real wealth. What you do today determines your future financial status, I'm glad I started investing with Finance Fluent a long time ago and have made a way for myself and family.
Investing has changed my perspective on how one can succeed in life. Working multiple jobs for money isn't the optimal way to attain financial freedom.
Financial management is a crucial
topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.

I dunno why but I love the way nailguns sound on video. It's a very satisfying "klist". But I know they're louder and obnoxious in person.
I’m on my last year of high school, at a technical high school. One of my best decisions was to take carpentry, I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t go into that trade. So impressed with this video❤️!
Man, awesome material and great skill!
My Father was a carpenter. I miss working with him. Some rough times separated us, I wish to continue his legacy but money is so hard to come by.
So, on the second floor, do the walls fall sometimes? Or is there something that prevents them from falling when you set them in place?
You put nails in on an angle through the bottom of the wall, and it basically turns the bottom of the wall and the floor into a hinge. Otherwise yeah that wall has a good chance of sliding when you pick it up and going off the edge
Ohh, ok, thanks, makes more sense!
So COOL!!!
Hey Matt I have seen old school carpenters when fastening the sill plate just put the sill plate on top of the bolts and line up with edge and bang with a hammer. This leaves an impression in the sill plate for the exact spot to drill the holes. No need to mark with a pencil. Have you ever tried this?
Love your videos man. Great work
