Electrifying an existing ICE vehicle is an interim solution at best. The eRAV4 is bound to have its limitations. Toyota needs to come into this century at some point. Their new models will meet a need, for the time being.
I think Toyota are eyeing off what mistakes the others are doing and coming back for the kill.

The FJ is not all that old vs Defender and Wrangler but might be better than them.
The Toyota Mini Land Cruiser is what I call Grandson of Land Cruiser as Son of Land Cruiser was the Prado . My question is what base price for the grandson?
The IMV-O pick up is basically a replacement of the Land Cruiser 80 Series. My question is would you waste you money for a name change and a handful of improvements?
Finally after 40 years the Stout makes a comeback I do like the looks of but will it live up to it old reputation of carrying 1500kg in the tray like the old model and anything bigger than two litre would also be nice.

Until there is a sufficient infrastructure for electric vehicles which is many years away the erave4 will not be a big seller here in the USA ,maybe in Europe or Asia and a few other places but in the USA it will be many years the plug in and the hybrid rave4 will continue to sell the best by far ,there the best of both worlds and with over 4 million miles of roads with very very few charging stations and approx 150,000 gas stations with approximately between a million to a million and a half total gas pumps available and OPERATING Summer ,Fall ,Winter ,and Spring thus your ICE car is never with out working refueling stations close by until this changes years from now all electric vehicles will be mostly a Joke!
