This is basically Ubisoft telling us "Look, you want BG&E2 to not get cancelled? Buy this one" and that is so sad. This game is stupidly good!!
I really hope BG&E2 does get cancelled. Modern-day Ubisoft can not do the game justice. We don't need another Duke Nukem Forever situation.

@@gamingsheepy6981I don’t know though… There’s a solid hour or two of actual pre-alpha gameplay footage of BG&E2 from multiple E3s, far more than we’ve even seen of Microsoft’s new Fable game that’s supposedly coming out next year.
To make entire sandboxes with proper collision detection, a playable Knox with proper jump and jetpack physics, and functional hyperspace jumps between worlds, is far too much to actually be fake.
To my understanding, Michel Ancel started work on this game in 2007, cancelled it sometime around 2010 before we saw any gameplay, rebooted development in 2016ish with actual pre-alpha footage to show us at E3 2017 and E3 2018, and then upon him leaving Ubisoft after accusations of abusive management were levied against him in 2020, Ubisoft likely scrapped all of the version he was working on, and I don’t believe they’re working on a 3rd incarnation of the project. Definitely a dead and gone game at this point unless Michel Ancel somehow returns to Ubisoft.
Don't sleep on this game people, it's amazing!

I love that it's the 20th anniversary of this game on page said "20 years ago your parents put me under your care." it's a nice touch!
I remember seeing this game in a store, almost 20 years ago, and thinking, "Yeah, I want to try that one! I'll come back for it." Then I never did. I regretted that.

I had the same issue during the GameCube era, always wanted it, but there was always that one game I wanted more, until it was no longer in shelves. Eventually played it on PC and absolutely loved it, can't wait for this remaster.

One of the most criminally underrated 3d platformers of all time with unique gameplay mechanics and partner AI that was way ahead of its time, like seriously this games ai is better than nearly any Ai based game made today.
It's not a platformer. Lol.
One of the finest masterpieces of the sixth generation. Absolutely worth a play if you never have before.

I've played videogames for over 40 years now, dating as far back to the Atari 2600, and this one remains in my top five most cherished experiences.
The fact that the game is now 20 years old makes me feel 👴🏻
Feeling old 😅? Thats how Im felt lately seeing my childhood games get remastered and remake,owh man how time flies suddenly we are all adult already but beautiful memories with all this games cant be replaced 😁

I loved this game back in the day, during the happiest years of my life. It means so much to me to have it playable on the Switch. The world is both whimsical and bleak, the story both confident and melancholy, the characters witty and spirited, and the music - oh, the music! - is utterly, gloriously, desperately expressive!

I bought this game in 2005 used for 16 bucks. Im so glad I purchased it. I played this over and over, and loved beating this game. Time to jump back in!

This was one of my favorite games on the original PS2. It's still one of my favorites today.
When I was a kid, I initially got this game on disc from a packet of cheese strings, and I instantly fell in love with it!
