- Taking you behind the scenes at Luderitz Speed Challenge 2022. Day 1 of light winds practicing water starts. This videos gives a bit more insight as to all the gear that one wears on a typical day at the channel and all the preparation that goes into it. In this video I am using my brand new Lüderitz Edition Mach6 5.2 Severne speed sail, AV board 37cm wide and Gasoil 18.5 speed fin.

Why all the strapping? Are you injured or is that a precaution? Good luck!!
Thank you!! I had both shoulders operated due to dislocation injuries at Luderitz and my Achilles tendon ruptured and operated last year. All recovered 100%, but the strapping helps for extra reinforcement of the ligaments for precaution. 👍
This is going to sound like a newb question but why a waist vs seat? Good luck. Well wishes to that leg!
It all comes down to what you feel most comfortable with. I prefer the waist for slalom and speed, because I have a lot more board control. 🤟🤟
Fin looks unique, what is it
Gasoil Asymmetric speed fin 18.5. The orange is still with the cover on.🤟
