- In this video, I am taking you with me to a day on the fastest channel in the world at Lüderitz Speed Challenge 2022!! Day 1 & 2 at the channel gave us very moderate winds (20 - 30 knots) with a broad angle - These conditions make the run more technical and choppy, but still load of fun and excellent practice for the record wind days. Loving my new Mach 6 Severne Sails!

I think is great that Bjorn got into the speed scene. After what has represented to this amazing sport It gives an extra prestige to be there.....and can beat his own record...gooooo!

Hi Tom! Yes super happy to have them here with me! The right arm device is event GPS to measure speed, left arm is my personal GT31 GPS to measure and log speed on GPS speed surfing and on wrist is Coros GPS watch to measure my speed and analytics. Lots of measuring involved!! 😅

As much as I love windsurfing, I feel a bit disgusted by the decadence of this event. All that travelling, the specialized gear, the cars, building of the channel itself, the cost over everything, just to see how fast you can go on a windsurfer. It's just ridiculous. The carbon footprint of anyone participating in this event is insane.
You can say this about any international sport - motor racing, football even cycling - are you saying that all these should be stopped too? At least once the wind is up there is no further fuel being used!
