Their story could actually be interesting if the sims in sims 4 actually had personality and long lasting conquences. You wouldn't even know the household had drama of you didn't read their bio.

I think they still have lore their just well hidden. I keep telling people about the probabilities of Towne sims showing up to peoples lots with either a fight or squid emote above their heads. Especially with the calientes and how and maybe its just me. of all the sims Dina and don live the longest of all of the sims. I think the sims just want us to create more of our own stories around it all.. i don't know anyone who has ever completed all feats in the sims, as far as skills and aspirations go. However the Brooksville heights mod. Is a perfect example of the direction the sims 4 team could've went.

lol i love how bob newbie was black, but only sometimes. it's such a weird inconsistency for one of the most well known sim families!
It was one of the damn Sims 1 console games. They even managed to make Bella Goth look horrific.
That kinda backs up the theory that Bob and Eliza Pancakes are Bob and Betty Newbie.

My theory is that Henry Simovitch was just a distant relative, meaning they wouldn’t have inherited his money anyway.
Good theory xDD Usually, when I find Sims that have the same names across the worlds, I drag to one world and use the NRaas mods to make them all related somehow.
It’s amazing how back then, the game devs actually went through an insane amount of effort to make sure each game in the Sims series was somehow connected to each other, even if it lead to inconsistencies. Now with Sims 4 it just feels like they gave up and used the excuse of “it takes place in another universe.” This is why I prefer Sims 2 & 3, it just feels like more fun to create complex and dramatic storylines in those games than in Sims 4
My headcanon is that Betty was supposed to get married to some rich business man, probably some investor (or it's son) that worked with Henry, but she ran away to marry Bob. That's why their family doesn't have any money later on, Henry took them out of the will as revenge for making he lose some big deal with this partner.

The newbies were the first family I played when I was 6! Bob ended up dying because I didn’t know how to move the trash bin from in front of the fridge :( I had to order pizza but then they lacked the funds so it was bye bye bob :(

Is it allowed to cry on this comment section? The Newbies are my most favorite family ever on The Sims. They were my first Let's play on my channel. Having triplets. I love the Newbies...
I personally think Vadim has either russian or jewish roots while Fatima might be of middle-eastern descent, I can imagine her being a very fair-skinned persian or from another indo-iranian ethnic group.
I actually think they are from Balkans. Vadim might have jewish parent, but Simovitch really sounds like Balkan surname.

Sims had a glitch if you didn't pass the tutorial part your man here wouldn't have any decrease in needs so I always played as him. I remember making him a cemetery full of his children and wives. I was quite psychopathic when I was little(I was 11 at that time.)

I just realized that the Sims 3 takes place in somewhere in the 70s or 80s, the Sims 2 is in the future - 2020s? And of course, the Sims 1 is in 2000.
Sims 2 takes place in 2025
Sims 3 in 1975 (I can swear the way the homes interior, furnishings, and a lot of the pre made families in 3 were so 1970s with their fashion minus the cell phones, and couple of other gadgets... Sims 2 looks like something from the 2000s even though it’s set ‘in the future’, sims 4 also looks like it’s in the years it’s been released post 2014, while sims 1 gives off more 90s vibe, makes sense.)
However, sims 2 is a game that’s very ahead of its time... pun intended.
@@Kabotynka All the Sims 3 worlds except for Riverview and Barnacle Bay should be before Sims 1 and 2 happen, if I remember right

I LOVED the Newbies. I played with them nearly exclusively in Sims 1. Sometimes, Bob and Betty would get along.. but usually not. Their favorite past time was arguing with each other.
Sims 3 being set in the 70s makes sense. It would certainly explain the ugly default buildings
Not all of the buildings are ugly (for example those in the city of bridgeport
but then it doesn't make sense with flatscreen TVs, modern cars, cellphones (let alone smartphones), etc.
@@ScientistHL Because there were time travelers who brought those gadgets and high technology from the future. Not to mention a few, Alejandro Goth, Don Lothario, the Caliente sisters, etc...
Sims 3 takes place in the 50s. It’s set 50 years before Sims 2 which takes place in 2004 (then present day)

I feel like Henry is maybe just an uncle of Fadim so he just was never in line for inheritance of anything
I never had Roaring Heights so I never knew of his existence and always wondered about that car. But I think that made sense. Like in real life an uncle would give you a car but not put you on his will. Makes sense.
I never realized that the trailer showed young Bob and Betty Newbie, oops. I think the girl is an extra NPC to just drive players to want to play with these families though. 😅😂 It is interesting though!
in my game I went with lore, paired Bob and Betty and made them daughter named Brandi who later married Skip Broke and they had kids (there was a lot of aging up involved cuz I wanted to make ages more in sync). Bob and Betty had another daughter later but it wasnt my idea nor my fault :v
Never trust a sim whose favorite food is salad.
Oh, I never thought about that, but... I mean, for what we can see here, Henry Simovitch used to spend his money compulsively, with futile stuff. Also, his relationship with his coworkers was really, REALLY BAD. I can easily see his fortune downfall, lmao.
He went to that xacstion and spent most of It.
I have a Theory that she May have been cut due to time constraints or the Developers didn't want players 2 alter The Sims Canon timeline
She also could represent CAS sims made by the players

Even in the first the Sims game Sims' traits sounds more meaningful than in The Sims 4. I want to try this game out now.
You're speaking about the Sims 1 or 3? I agree that the trait system in the Sims 3 is WAY better than in the Sims 4

I've just wanted to say that the name Vadim is pronounced Vadím, and Fatima is Fatimá, because I think Simovitch have Slavic roots ;) In Russia these named are pronounced this way

Well Henry looks like to be a distance uncle for Vadim thinking on the age difference they are; so it makes sense that henry being rich doesn't make the newbies be rich too, since you know uncle start getting distant from the family on the third generation. Barely we know our granduncles or have close interaction with them.

Bob and Betty is married in my playthrough. Both of them are at the top of their career in Military (Bob) and Music (Betty). They had 4 children and all of them are males and doesn't ended up with any of the Broke family member.
I was so excited to see this video! I guess I'm rusty on the Newbie family because a lot of this info was new to me - thanks for sharing!! Now I want to rewatch the Broke video. There are theories that Bob and Eliza Pancakes from sims 4 are based on the Newbie family - especially since Betty and Eliza are both short for Elizabeth.
When I played Sims 1 as a kid, Bob and Betty became an unhappy couple and a clown started showing up. Then, I had a house party with another Sim family and Drew Carrey showed up.

That random black haired girl with glasses that Bob kissed reminded me of Cassandra Goth. Crazy theory, but since that girl doesn't exist in that city and the Goth have been in touch with supernatural and time travling, it could be her. I don't really think it is her, but it would be funny if it were.

I have theory that the teen sim kissing Bob Newbie could be Mary Kay Shallow, perhaps to get in good with the Newbies, to help her father buy up all the land (and since the Newbies are the only land owners on that street), maybe the rich soil has oil beneath?
In my game, I try my best to keep Bob and Betty just best friends, and work on getting Bob to be a bit of a romancer, like his aspiration in Sims 2. But I do get Bob to get Betty pregnant at some point, so they do get married.

Not sure what might be wrong with him, but I don’t believe Henry and the Simovitch family are even related. Having nice things is normal for someone who is rich, but if we look at Henry’s cars, they are not even that expensive (could also be like this to kind of fit into the lore that Roaring Heights is set in the past, so he would not have a modern car) 🙂

I guess Vadim is Henrys son, they probably fell out of Henrys favour when Vadim decided to be a couch potato. Look Henry and Vadim are polar opposites, Best boarding school vs worst, hard working vs coach potato and so on. When Vadim was disowned his decendants also didn't got nothing from Henry. Its a funny thought to know that Dustin and Beau the literal trailer park brokes are decendants of Sim Nations Henry Ford.😊

The Ford Motor Company falling out isn't really as hard to believe, being that the company has only really had the direct line of succession from Henry lead the company, and the rest spend it elsewhere, there are even some who went belly up (Edsel II comes to mind).

Well… Henry is a stock broker and Roaring Heights takes place in the 20’s - 50 years before the events of Riverview.

Im so sure that a Sims 4 Lore Video would Take years-
There’s no lore to make it on. They come up with stories for the premades bios but their relationships in game aren’t even the way the bios say they are (ie. The BFF’s, The Pancakes, etc.)
