We Turned This Old Ford F-150 Into A Heavy Hauling Beast! Then It Completely Exploded...

  • In this video we build our 1990 Ford F-150 a custom flat bed in under 30 minutes. David had some scrap wood laying around so we decided to see what we could make from the stuff in his yard! The result came out really cool, and then almost immediately failed as we raced it around our new course hauling nearly 1500 lbs of hay!

Fun random fact: the radiator fan assembly from a 2008-2012 Ford Escape Hybrid is an absolute perfect fit for this radiator. It even comes with a built in resistor, so you can get high and low speed on one of the fans.
Main reason for doing that swap is that Ford no longer makes the fan clutch, and all of the aftermarket ones are junk.

Six Shooter content is best content! You three getting creative, going on adventures, and making stuff while having fun is genuinely the most fun car content that I've gotten to enjoy since Motortrend left youtube! I never would have thought that wood pallets could be used to make a quick and cheap flatbed..... I also never would have guessed that it could look that good :P It wasn't the most durable, but my guess is that the 4 posts weren't tied together enough and, as the truck frame flexed with the hay on top, the 4 posts just flexed too much independently of each other and ripped the outside one in half. In other words, your foundation flexed apart! Thanks for the smile, guys, and I hope that you have many more good times ahead!
