  • This is one of the most exceptionally brilliant puzzles we've ever seen. You can try Ri Sa's incredible Thermocouples sudoku here:
    cracking-the-cryptic.web.app/...
    Rules for Thermocouples:
Normal sudoku rules apply. Cells separated by a knight's move (in chess) may not contain the same digit. Digits increase along thermometers, starting at the bulb end.
The puzzle was published first on our discord server (link below) and then on Logic Masters Germany here:

Then you move to the middle 9. Left and middle row are both ruled out of the 1 because they are in the same lines. the right row has both corners filled in so that means the middle right value has to be the same 1/3 pair. and all 3 of these spots are the same value.

@@zackaryburns3266 Simon always seems to use the white colouring to remove colours he's placed in the grid, rather than the delete button.
It's caused him issues in past videos, with original puzzle constraints being overwritten by 'white'. Previous comments have suggested he use the delete button instead, but he hasn't learnt this yet.

Absolutely beautiful construction. Seriously impressive stuff there. Wonderful puzzle, wonderful video, thanks for showcasing it. Far more impressive than the original miracle, to my mind, in that it's... Just thermo knight. Nothing fancy in that ruleset - it's thermo knight constructed in a way to imply three extra regions (one size 6, one size 7, one size 9), but rules wise it's just thermo knight.
