I’m in the process of flushing my fluid on my 06 Fz1 and I’m glad I found this video!! Definitely helps and answers my questions.

Hi there both distilled and deionized water are both treated to removed impurities for different uses, therefore both better than tap water and suitable for this application.
    Thanks for your support.

What size is the copper washer? There’s no info in the owners manual and wanted to get the new one before taking the old one off 👍

My 02 model doesn't seem to have the drain plug

  • @samestuffdifferentday5712

With that angle I cant see exactly where the drain valve is. You need a close up shot. Too dark or dimly lit.

It’s not just gearing mate they have milder cams than the R1. About 2000rpm off the top end.

Yeh they change some engine parts too for heavy items to slow the while thing down just like the mt10 to r1.
      Cheers.

Great video I've got a fzs1 2007 model black engine non abs... Was wondering what break pads you use organic or sintered and what make you recommend as going to attempt a mini service oil air etc.. Any advice would be appreciated thanks once again

Hi there sorry for late reply, I have always used sintered pads and for cost and value for money EDC. Air filter is the best you can afford same also with the oil and filter, I'm currently running K&n. Some people say the genuine parts are hard to beat but if so why do racing teams use other upgrades instead.
      Hope this helps.
      Cheers
      Rich.

Good except you should let it drain on the side stand not the center stand. It gets more old the old coolant out

      No.
Thats why we flush the system until its clear. Being on the side or center stand is irreverent since the hose faces downward anyways.
There is always a little left over in the system when only draining.
Thats why flush is needed .

Hi I'd take a look on line, that way you can see it before you buy and can choose the right one that suits your needs. Thanks.

Here in the states, we have something called distilled water - not quite as pure as deionized. Would you recommend? Why/why not? Thanks!
