I have an 08 with 6500 on it. GREAT video. I want to do this myself. A co worker with a GSXR1000 said I need new tires, but my wear indicators on my original tires are not flush with the top of the tread. I'll ask the Dunlap rep to look at them at the next Bike Night.

Well, I was unsuccessful in trying this procedure on my rear FZ1 tire. I was able to get to the point where I just need to get the 2nd side of the tire off the rim, but I can only get one or two irons in there. After that, I don't have enough room to wedge another iron in there. The video blazes past that section and I don't see how you got it done. But I do appreciate the video as it gave me some ideas.

I can appreciate how you've used basic tools for removing and replacing the tyres. However, I wouldn't recommend using pledge as it could cause the tyre to spin or come off the rim. Use liquid soap and water. Also you should inflate the tyres back on without the valve in Ist, especially if you have deformed the tyre a lot, you need to get as much air in as fast as possible to seat the bead. Once you get the two bangs, you can fit the valve without loosing all the air. I use a foot pump to seat the beads. It's good enough and I get a work out too.

Good video to do it yourself, but in this case I would remove the wheels and give it to my tire dealer to change the tires and balance the wheels for 20 bucks once a year
