4 large room-temperature eggs
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp mixed essence
1/2 Tsp baking powder

Bake 350F for 35-40 minutes until toothpick comes out clean

I made this yesterday and it was delicious! It didn't even last 2 days. My husband loved it and said it would make a nice layer cake. I used freshly grated nutmeg from The Virgin Islands. I didn't have mixed essence so I just used a good vanilla. I will definitely be making this again. Thanks for sharing!

Bec it’s mixed with the butter and has moisture it might spoil the entire batch maybe it can be saved in a separate container in the fridge so it doesn’t breed weevil, happy you enjoyed this recipe and hope you give it a try my friend
