You’re right, the whole Stihl lineup is great but you have to choose the saw dependent on what you’re doing. I also have the 261 mtronic and it’s the perfect balance of everything with power and agility. This is their overall masterpiece!

261 is night and day over the 291. My dad have a 029 (old version). I bought a 261 and was sold on pro saws! Great video new subscriber.

I've got a farm boss which I've had for about a decade. It is a little heavy. I'm usually out for 3 or 4 hours when cutting wood. For the money, I think it's the best saw in that size range. Of course, the pro saw is going to be better. Happy with my purchase though. Other family members bought Jonesred and Husqvarna and are having kind of major problems with their saws. I just sharpen it, change the chain, and scrape the air filter once in a while.

I used a Craftsman saw with an 18" bar for 25 years. I replaced it with an MS251 Wood Boss, also 18". For me it's the best balance between overhead limbing and ground work up to 20-22".
