- For those who were disappointed that John Williams couldn't return for the final Harry Potter movies, here is the scene of Ron's splinching and Harry, Ron, and Hermione's attempted Locket Horcrux destruction in the woods with Williams' music (and a bit of Desplat :P)
This video features "Revealing the Secret" from The Book Thief. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Harry: “Come with me”
Ron: “And leave Hermione? Are you mad? We wouldn’t last two days without her”
Oh Ron... how right you were😂
Yup
That happened because of the horcrux.Besides,Ron was the one who was more affected by the horcrux than Harry and Hermione, because he had six brothers and parents to worry about. Also,Harry told him to leave twice!(in the books)
Lol😂😂😂
This scene was so intense because you know that they really are kids just trying to figure shit out as they go along... she’s smarter than both of them combined & yet you can still hear the panic in her voice

The saddest and most honest tears come from those who are strong and cry little.

...good ovservation Harry...
Y'know I nEvEr would of thought something was wrong with his arm
Whoo harry saved me for a second i thought ron had died. If it wasnt for harry
Exactly why he is not a Ravenclaw :>
After all, he has an awful eyesight...
This why he is a Gryffindor and NOT a Ravenclaw
i don't think ron and harry could still be alive without hermione! they'd be dead right now
Nah, if it's only harry he can fight and kill those dark wizards, he is good against the dark arts, he's always ready to fight while Hermione is ready to run and survive that's why she knows those spells and fully packed
True, true
Yea
DaFuture bullshit, Harry at the time was just an above average wizard, he'd definitely have died without Hermione
Sejoun Sewell Exactly!! Although Harry did score better than Hermione in the Defense Against the Dark Arts O.W.L. exam, Harry was way less skilled than Hermione. Ron would’ve died right here if it wasn’t for Hermione’s quick thinking and using Dittany, which she was smart to pack in the first place.
2:00 - 2:03 Hermione, with blood in her hands, taking a deep breath so she can protect them all. Such a powerful moment for me.
Joyce Pinto yeah #GirlPower
Joyce Pinto from the begining she has been my favorite, I loved her on first view, in my opinion she is the most powerful and inteligent character of HP, even she is not pure blood is much better than Harry.
I agree, so powerful. Without a second though, jumps straight into action. No books needed.
Joyce Pinto Agreed! She's truly a powerful heroine. Very inspiring.
Voldemort rapes her easily with 0 trouble Hermione is powerful for a nomaj, but She is shit tier compared to Voldemort who rapes Dumbledore and Made him cry before he died.
Hermione saved their asses so many times
It's also partially hermiomes fault Ron got splinced because she was distracted
felixshengyang, here are all the times she saved/helped them greatly (this is for the book and movie)
1.The Devil Snare in the first movie
2.Helped Harry and Ron uncover the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets
3.Helped Harry in the first task of TT by teaching him Accio
4.Helped Harry in the third task of TT by teaching him loads of hexes, jinks etc...
5.Saved Harry from dying in his first Quidditch
6.Helped Harry get through the potions riddle while trying to get to the Sorcerer's stone
7.Saved Sirius Black life
So many times.
Mitchell Christie, from receiving the demetors kiss in the prisoner of Azkaban. Should have been more specific
Joey Jerry actually in the book Ron saved Harry and Hermione from the devil snare, chess board
Ron did not save Hermione and Harry from the Devil Snare. Hermione conjured some flames to stop the Devil Snare from killing them.

I still don't understand how Ron got hurt so badly. Poor Ron, first he gets poisoned then he gets splinched so badly. Anyway, really good acting Rupert Grint. It really looks very realistic
The guy grabbed him.
Hermione aparated back to Sirius's house, but yaxley grabbed them, hermione realized that she brought yaxley with them so she aparated one more time, but this time she was frightened, she didn't picture the place where she want to go clearly, you can hear she said " RON GOT SLPINCHED " which is what happen when you didn't picture the place clearly , you can leave your body parts back to previous place, and that's how the wound was created . ( sorry for my English)
He failed the apparition test so it didn’t work
đăng đăng splinched* she said splinched. Basically when you apparate you have to picture your self in the Location. Hermione planned on apparating them over to Sirius’s house but she didn’t picture Ron with them, as well as Yaxley grabbing them, therefore she quickly apparated them back into the forest though she didn’t picture Ron with them clearly and a piece of his meat from his arm was splinched in the other location Hermione imagined they would go. When you apparate you have to imagine yourself clearly in the Location you want to you to, unfortunately if you don’t any part of your body or clothing may stay in the same area you were. In the book Susan Bonez tried apparating but ended up leaving her left leg on her bed. The wanted to apparate to the other side of the room but did not make it successfully as she didn’t imagine herself on the other side of the room clearly.
@@MrSharkSaver50 Thats was not the problem. Read books and then you know.
Honestly, Rons injury is so downplayed in the movie. He is supposed to be lying in a puddle of blood.
typically movies are less gruesome than books. Another great example is the Hunger Games: the books were horribly graphic at time but the movies were pretty mild.
Same with Draco getting hit with the Sectumsempra. Draco was supposed to be in a puddle of blood, his shirt soaked, and almost dead. I liked the buildup of Harry hitting him, and then silence as he rounded the corner, because that put tension on the audience who didn’t know what the spell did but the final result was underwhelming.
@@brendansullivan1293 also in Jurassic Park and Stephen King's It.
well the movies (since mainly the second one) did Ron so dirty he had barely any character anymore, just cause the director of 2 was a granger fangirl and rowling copied that in the later books too, sucks cause in the beginning everyone in the trio had strengths and weaknesses
until it was just audience stand-in, mary sue and comic relief
Downplayed?! he almost got his arm ripped off!
It`s gonna sting a little bit? His arm is half torn off, he`s no doubt in shock- l don`t think he`ll mind.

One of the millions of reasons why I love the trio, is because without ANY of them, they’d all be dead.
Without Harry and Ron, Hermione would be dead, without Ron and Hermione, Harry would be dead, and without Harry and Hermione, Ron would be dead.
They all have their own skill, and I love how it all comes to play several times in the books. (Not really the movies, because, let’s be honest, Ron was done completely dirty in them.)
Ik in the books Ron was more street smart whereas Hermione was book smart. Ron had an advantage above Harry and Hermione since he was raised in the Wizarding World while Harry and Hermione were raised by muggles
I love this scene!!! Brilliant acting in this one. The music helps too.
super

it would be so funny if harry lost the horcrux in the pile of leaves
Tielin Zhou yea =)
Tielin Zhou accio horcrux it wouldn't have been a problem but it would have been funny
You can't accio an Horcrux
that's what I was thinking when I first watched this in the cinema...
Don't they think it's a bad idea, with the horcrux on the ground covered with leaves, twigs, possibly even insects, etc ? It could get lost!
Defindo! Oh wait where's the horcrux go?
this scene really showed how much hermione cared about ron. And when hermione was being tortured by bellatrix it showed how much ron cared about hermione. They always loved eachother, just never knew how to say it.
Sometimes I feel Ron Was a bit to Shy to say it too her. She’s a bit Mad at him all the time feel like he likes her tries best to be nice but every time he turns around there is a mad look on her face at him still angry at him for leaving when she said We need to Talk when she came into the tent she ignored him completely never talked to him I’m sure he felt hurt
She never said Sorry never said a word to him who knows if he liked him at certain times she would not act like this what if he felt hurt again… and started to leave the trio what would she say then? She’d lost someone she really cared about and only had Friend who never did the things he did for her
I never understood why it's Harry who had the best marks in defence against the dark arts and the books like to remind us how good he is at fighting everything that's dark and bla bla bla... but still it's Hermione who put ALL the defensive spells, Moody taught them to be always vigilent and only Hermione thought about being ready to leave at any moment, she packet Ron and Harry's stuffs, she thought about a tent, she found them food in the forest and the list is long...
AnonymeArt because he is the chosen one. You know like you can be excellent at your job but you're still not more important in the company than that teenager who happens to be the daughter of the boss. Sometime it's not what you've done, it's who you are
Cause harry is always ready to fight, not to run
because hes the main character he atleast need one subject better than hermione.. cause she beat him about anything else

Her voice is so frail and weak, and when she does the protection spell, she’s powerful and she takes a deep breath and it’s truly empowering ✨
This isn't really a good fit but all of a sudden it made me realize how much more psychological depth the Harry Potter films could have had...
+LordMgls I think there's something to that....to me, it seemed David Yates was going after an "art film" aesthetic that was interesting for the series, but didn't end up communicating much of insight through the visuals, writing, or acting. It creates effective atmosphere and has an air of gravitas because it's slow and quiet, but sometimes feels more vague and awkward in its silence than truly profound.
The additional music may not be 100% successful but overall apart from being a decent sync, IMO it gives the scene a greater sense of direction and suggests more of an idea to me that there are shifting thoughts and emotions beneath the surface than what I get from the film alone.
+Mrbellamy IMO, that gravitas you mention became inappropriate ever since The Prisoner of Azkaban. All of a sudden, I started getting the feeling that HP was being treated as just an entertainment fantasy rather than an epic saga about the redemptive power of love. Not that I don't enjoy watching Yates' movies once in a while but that is probably because they're the only HP movies we have...
Are you joking? The first two films are entertainment fantasy, and the series isn't about the redemptive power of love. JK Rowling never said it was, nor was it depicted that way.
3-7 are the most nuanced
Declan Casey
you must have a really narrow mind to actually mean what you just wrote
You must have a narrow mind to believe that this film is entertainment fantasy. These are the film's that people complain are too boring (character-based) and "dark". The first two films literally relied on how many cool things they could wow the audience with. If you think the first two films were psychologically deep...wow. I don't know what to say.
The film's write about coming to terms with death, dealing with discrimination, and war, and coming of age, as well as losing your innocence. Bye.
I really love this scene. Mainly because it was almost exactly how it was in the books (besides them trying to hex the locket). It's a really beautiful scene, I felt so bad when Ron got splinched because they have all already been through so much. The acting in this was really great. Rupes looked like he was really hurt with his head tilted back and his back arched. Emma in this scene was just so good. The tears, the shaky hands, everything. And then with blood on her hands, she took a deep breath so she could protect them. And the way she said the spells. Also I've got to say, Harry in the white shirt with suspenders and Hermione with the suit was just.. chefs kiss. Anyways,
Ohh she really has a crush on Ron
The sigh of relief from Hermonie when Ron’s arm starts to heal up and he stops being in pain.. 😢
For anyone who doesn't understand: in the ministry Yaxley had hold of Hermione and saw where she was going to take them so she had to bring them somewhere else so fast she didn't really imagine it so Ron got splinched
The acting was so well done here, especially with how her voice keeps rising and getting louder trying to force the words out. The panic in her voice made me feel panicked

Ok is it just me or is there something really hypnotic about the way Hermione says Incendio at 2:57 ?? I literally cannot stop watching it
This changed the whole feel of the scene for me. Also, I could almost imagine a ghost of snape's voice saying "You've been raising him like a pig for slaughter" after Ron comments on how Dumbledore didn't tell him how to destroy it
It did hurt
Ron Weasley I can see the muscle layer in your arm........🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
Hermione's panic sounded very realistic and worried me a lot she seemed very yes concerned for him both things are awful why does it always end up being Him that gets hurt the most
I always thought when they hit the horcrux with the spell, it sounds like it's screaming
Loved how well they adapted this from the book. The forest, outfits and shots. Just how one imagines it.
That looks really painful
That does bother me. Why tell me to destroy something without telling me how
all three of them suffered too much during this movie. harry lost his too many people in his life, hermione was panicking but tried to stay calm and ron got hurt and his 3:33 just makes me feel so bad him. but he made a good point about Dumbledore giving Harry the horcruxes but now how to destroy them.
Emma and Ruperts is amazing !
Very realistic !

There are 4 degrees of sorenesses.
• 1st degree sorenesses is plain redness with no blister.
• 2nd degree soreness is a blister.
• 3rd degree soreness exposes muscle, fat and tendons from under the skin.
• 4th degree soreness exposes the bone.
Ron had a 3rd degree sore arm.
I love how none of the comments are actually about the music.
I wish they did the scene where Bellatrix is torturing Hermione more detailed- it would have been so much better if we saw Ron screaming and crying for her
I cannot believe Yaxley jumped in after Ron and grabbed and twisted his arm off bad Yaxley trying to ruin their escape plan. Poor Ron
i feel really bad for Ron that was... i don't remember
That splinching scene is literally my favorite scene from the entire series - I love how everything, including the trio, gets spaghettified only to form the logs of the trees and then everything comes to a stop.
What the hell is happening in that part. It freaks me out 😭
3:20 When old voldy won't die
Nice it feels like a Spielberg film in this scene for some reason. Reminds me of Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park
+Patrick J. McKenna Yeah, I can see that. The locket part has a similar mystery feel as his Indy scores.
It doesn't belong. It clashes with the bleak tone
Declan Casey I think it adds onto the majesty and integrity of what is going on, much like the scores in scenes from the earlier films
This is the darkest Harry Potter period. Literally nothing good happens in the movie and golden trio had really rough in this one. Harmione had to make her parents forget, Ron was losing his head, Harry didn't know what the fuck is he supposed to do, completely disconnected and isolated from the rest of the world and their relation ship at the brink of breaking while they run for their lives. The fallout with Ron, the torture of harmione, the death of Hedwig and dobby, like this whole movie was fucked up and gruesome and not even once anything good happens. If they went with complete book accuracy, this movie would have been rated R.
Let’s be real Hermione is the real hero. Harry is the chosen one but Hermione is simply more skilled and intelligent.
harry in my opinion is the hero but they couldn’t lads long without hermione

The tone and mood doesn't seem to fit completely. The music, while not happy, seems to have just a "Snitch" more cheeriness to it, and it makes it seem a bit comedic, especially around the 1:20 mark when Hermione is telling Harry to hurry. Otherwise it's pretty good. I wish George had worked on the later films, but some of the music from them are also breathtaking, for example the opening music of The Half Blood Prince is amazing, very emotional and gives me goosebumps. The movie itself is not as interesting, but not bad.
Very good points. Definitely softens the tone, for sure, but I don't see that as entirely a bad thing. I think you're right that the music does fight against the suspense of Harry approaching Ron. But I like the music's sense of comfort as Hermione mends Ron and how it works with the slow camera move, how it fades quietly as she looks around the woods and then sort of "affirms" her decision to stand and put up the enchantments. There's a nice sensitivity about that to me. And I think just cinematically it flows well with the pace and visuals: the camera floating down to the locket and also the bag, the long hold and fade with the tent, the buildup as they're trying to destroy the locket. I think it goes too big when Ron questions Harry, but I do like 4:01 with that shot of Harry leaving Ron/Hermione in the distance, fits emotionally and I like the way it comes off that long elegant phrase in time for the cut. And I think the harp for the mirror is pretty neat. So not perfect but I felt it had enough nice moments to share as an experiment, and generally matches the scene, if a little *too* operatic. :P
Also agree that the later films had many wonderful musical highlights. The opening of HBP is very entrancing. To me John Williams did remain the best, though, and I would have liked to see if he could have brought a little more consistency to the series with his music, while also accounting for the increasing darkness and understated emotions. As it stands the films and soundtracks are a little disjointed IMO.
“Dumbledore sends you off to find all these Horcruxes, but doesn’t tell you have to destroy them? Doesnt that bother you?” Like or hate Ron, what you wont say is that he, as a brave Gryffindor, didnt have the guts to ask the questions most werent trying to touch.💯
apparition in the movies never gets old
We can get going on a tent:
Harry: we’re will we find a tent
:Harry oh there
The only thing that is strange is that how is Harry Potter’s glasses always so perfect and never crooked
