Why Lifting Weights is Important to Help Burn Fat

  • This is why I believe lifting weights is important when you are trying to burn fat and lose weight. In my experience I have achieved better results which I am much happier when including lifting weights/resistance training to my workouts.
    It would be great to know your thoughts and what has worked for you! More than anything I think it is important to mix up your training to make sure you are the best and fittest you can be.

    I haven’t yet watched a video of yours that’s hasn’t got a chuckle out of me with your amusing side-comments. I’m usually quite grumpy so consider that an achievement 😆
    Glad to say I learnt something new (or perhaps I forgot that muscle burns more calories than fat).

    Great vid Stev! So true as well. I use to think doing cardio would be enough but actually since I’ve started adding weights to my workouts my body is a lot stronger & I don’t have as many injuries from cardio anymore! So true you need a balance of both!

      Thanks Laura! That’s a good point I was going to mention was injuries, running less is better for my knees. The best athletes for me are cross fit athletes, they’re amazing 💪🏼🙌🏼
