And based on Ornn's lore, the howling abyss would've done its job and trap the watchers forever but Lissandra casted magic on it. Ornn said that casting magic on anything would cause that thing to decay. Which is also why ornn is annoyed at Lissandra
That's not true... the howling abyss wouldve never held back the watchers forever, ornn is not powerful to create a prison of that level. And lissandra wanted to keep the watchers imprisoned, she'd not use her magic to weaken the prison. The sole reason the watchers are slowly waking up/ the eternal ice actually melting is because it simply cant keep an enemy like the watchers at bay forever. That's why lissandra feeds them dreams to keep them in their slumber and prevent them from waking up and consuming reality.
That is not true. Ornn made the Howling Abyss to imprison the Watchers that were summoned by Lissandra against her sisters' wills. Ornn was , to quote, "annoyed" at Lissandra because Lissandra killed two of her sisters AND dutifully sacrifice their reincarnations to keep the Watchers frozen in the Howling Abyss. Ornn, as a demi-god, alongside his siblings, Anivia and Volibear, are tasked to keep Freljordians safe, but Lissandra is killing Serilda and Avarossa's reincarnation by keeping their tribes in constant chaos and when that chaos is not enough, Lissandra personally murders them herself.
If you understand Skyrim lore, you'll understand the unreliable narrator. Sure, Ornn says it would keep the watchers at bay and he believes that, but doesn't make it true. We have more of an understanding of the watchers than Ornn since we know about Icathia, the voidborn, Aurelion Sol and other bits of lore about the Watchers. I mean if something like magic due to the world runes could degrade the howling abyss, why wouldn't neigh omnipotent reality vorists? I'm with Lissandra's viewpoint more than Ornn's

@@chaozz2643 To support this fact about the howling abyss not gonna do the job of holding back the watchers because the watchers themselves are EVOLVING and if they evolve to be able to DESTROY ornn's 'indestructable weapons' that would make it even worse to fight against.
So to summarise
Ashe = peaceful
Sejuani= traditionalists
Lissandra= just wierd
Lissandra=Fucked up and trying to clean up after herself

She's a mage
not weird but secretive and the real protector of Freljord (eventually Runeterra) against the Watchers
Lissandra realizes her mistakes and wants to own up to them, unfortunately she's still forced to abduct people to use their dreams as a barrier as nothing else can stop the watchers
Fun fact for actual league players. Yes it is *THE* howling abyss, the aram map. If you pay attention to the ghost guy, he also talks about this event
Second fun fact, the reason lissandra is blind and wears her ridiculous mask, is because she pissed off voli once and he clawed her face, blinding her

See, she's blind to her sisters pings saying that the watcher is on their way instead she muted her sisters and wintrade the whole freljord to the watcher, then after she knew that the watcher saw their relationship as paracosial, she gave them the cold shoulder. Now being one of the active gm she started banning everyone who talk shit
Lissandra is basically the strongest mortal women base on lore
Lissandra is immortal, she will live forever unless she's physically killed like what happened to her sisters, but even then her sisters are rumored to have reincarnated into Ashe and Sejuani
It would be Zoe honestly, but lissandra is one of the strongest entities in runeterra (tho we have stronger beings, which is why she can't deal with the watchers herself )
But Zoe is literally a god so nah

even tho its for self interest, its actually neat Lissandra made an alliance with the trolls, as the rest of freljord EVEN ASHE sees them as wild animals that should be slaughered
She saw an opportunity, she saves Trundle,sees he is a troll genius, gives him one of the most op weapons in exchange of alliance between them. So she sent one smart troll who is unbeatable to rule over powerfull but dumb trolls. Trundle leads 2 armies, troll army and Lissandras frostguard army.
So I want to point out that in her new lore it states the only reason she made the deal with the watchers to begin with was because she knew the inevitable cycle of void and creation and that it couldn't be stopped. She offered to serve them in exchange for her and her sister's survival. They weren't on board with it and to cover it up she deaded them. Unless they changed it again... But her official page stated that at one point.

She didn't kill her sisters. They were sacrificed as she sealed the Watchers.
She killed them in the process and continues to kill their reincarnation to keep their history in the dark and sacrifice Iceborns to keep the Watchers frozen. So technically, basically, and obviously speaking, she killed them.

I'm just curious to what would the watchers/ void borne's interactions with the undead / shadow isles.. Do they consume/battle one another? Acknowledge each other as allies? Or just plainly ignore one's existence?
I actually can't think of a time they've really interacted with one another in a meaningful capacity....let me stew on this a bit. I've been thinking it might be fun to take questions from the comments of these videos and throw them into a little video of their own, this might be a REALLY good one for that!
The closest connection I can think of is Taarosh, and that's just because he was scarred by the void and trapped on the shadow isles. Other than that I can't think of anything.

Frostguard has advantage. She has trolls, frostguards, and those huge monsters that destroy everything by shooting lasers from eyes. "It that stares" and one more i forgot its name. Also has some weird birds that watch over citadel.

I generally think that the relationship between the demigods and Lissandra are REALLY strained. Volibear blinded her and she lied to Ornn to get him to build the bridge across the Howling Abyss.

This is kinda incorrect, the three sisters were looking for power to not succumb to the cold. Lissandra, the blind, found these beings that proposed a deal, to give the three sisters power. Avarosa has her arrow as weapon, Serylda, that thing Sejuani uses, and lissandra has the ring of frost(the thing at her feet where every power comes from).
Now they could survive the winter, and is then when lissandra realices these beings are truly world eathers. In an attempt to stop them from destoying the world Lissandra sacrifices her sisters and many iceborns to save the world, and keeps on doing it to keep the watchers dreaming.
She didn't kill her sisters, but made a choice between her sisters and the world we know.
Lissandra is trying to give more time to the world, she allies with trundle as her plan is to get the biggest army possible to defeat them.
What you wrote could be a minute in and of itself! That’s the challenge with these shorts. Lots of detail for only sixty seconds! I will disagree with whether or not “sacrificing” and “killing” are different things - the outcome is the same - but we explore the nuance greater in the long form video!
Armies cant stop Watchers. She is ally with trolls because she needs them to overpower other factions in Freljord. Trolls are op in lore, dumb but powerfull. She is lucky she has Trundle, the only genius troll who leads her and his army.

Why is everyone and their mom an Iceborn. If it's a power gained through the void then it should have a corrupting effect like with the darkin, but instead almost everyone from freljord is just automatically strong with no downsides.
Its like a gene, the void doesn't have to corrupt and watchers are more than just the void
Darkin became insane from ptsd after the war with the void. Frostborn is a gift to Lissandras people from the Watchers if she lets them into Runeterra. She did but then learned about their motives and then traped them with true ice.

It's boring, creatures from the void shouldn't be human.
Even on earth you have living things that totally differ from mammals, so why in another dimension everything should be human like?
To put it in simple terms: creatures from the void just...arent.
Watchers or voidspawns do not have a physical form by themselves; they acquire one after consuming what they found in their immediate surroundings.
Trying to fit in, to adjust, but they never quit manage to do so thus resulting in mockeries of life.
Things that remind us reality but are off in a way, uncanny.
The watchers being eldrich tentacle monsters would be the cliche "boring" as you called it, solution rather than a demonstration of riots craftmanship.
That watcher is canon, but thats also not what watchers actually look like. They dont have a physical form but have to acquire one to appear on runeterra
