Hi Frank, Great effort for the pair of you in challenging conditions. You’ve just got to love the Cairngorms. Cheers, Charlie.
Thanks Charlie, yeh I’m starting to love the cairngorms now, kinda love those conditions although the cycle wasn’t much fun 🤣👍
Cheers Frank.
That was hard going from start to finish and that's just watching 🤣 great drone footage Frank 👍 well done guys, you earned your drams that night 🥃 atb Brian 👍
Cheers Brian, it defo was a shift, ploughing thru that deep snow is energy sapping and that frigging boulderfield near the summit with that wind was treacherous.
Yeh I defo had a dram that night.🥃🥃🥃👍
Cheers Frank.👍🏔
Good evening Frank, just popping over from Paul's channel, love his videos and you seem to have the nack for this video making malarci too! Looked like a great days biking and hiking, and especially loved the drone footage! That wind must have been bitting, a very well earnt treat atbthe end of it too! Nice to see your POV, thanks for the fab video, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭 🔔
Hi thanks for taking the time to watch the video, yeh it was a cracker of a day although the biking part was tough🤣 yeh the drone shots always gives a different perspective of the journey. It was certainly windy heading for the summit especially making our way thru the boulder field. Glad you enjoyed it,
ATB Frank 👍🏔
Amazing video once again Frank looked hard going but your mountain experience is growing with every mountain you climb only makes u mentally stronger we’ll done pal
Thanks John and very true, if that had been in my earlier climbs I may have turned back, but we had plenty of time & well equipped.
Cheers Frank.👍🏔
Excellent Video Frank..Well done guys and the sort of conditions I love ❤️ ❄️..Great drone work as well 😁👌🏻
Thanks Robert, I love those conditions as well, couldn’t believe I only had one base layer under jkt & and never felt one bit cold, amazing the gear these days.
Cheers Frank.👍🏔

ATB frank.👍🏔
Well done Frank and Paul.Looked a hard shift from the start. Some dodgy looking conditions for the bike on the way in,lol.🚴♂️Great footage and couldn't of been easy on that summit with the wind and deffo tricky underfoot with the boulderfield up there.
Look forward to your vid Paul.😃👍
Cheers Andy! A great day with Frank and looking forward to more trips here. What an amazing part of the world! Paul
Hi Andy, yeh it was hard from the off, Paul went down a sore one early doors. Thankfully path had thawed a bit on return journey which made it a bit easier. Conditions were quite demanding last 100mts or so with the wind and the boulder field. Still a great day oot.🏔👍🏴
Cheers Frank.
Nice 1 Frank & Paul.
Looked a tough day out in the deep snow.
Love the drone footage
ATB
Tam
Cheers Tam, it certainly was a shift and a half, but thoroughly enjoyed it, pity I couldn’t get some more drone footage but weather closed in the further up we went.
ATB Frank 👍🏔
Good stuff Frank , what a stunning a start to the day then a bit wild higher up . A bit of dodgy cycle in , we walked in it in on December there the path was the exact same . The Cairngorms are stunning eh ..Enjoyed that mate .. cheers Stevie
Thanks for the comments Stevie, yeh it was a day of 2 Half’s weather wise, alpine start then typical Scotland at summit 🤣🤣
In hindsight we would have been better leaving the bikes and just walked it.
Got to agree the Cairngorms are spectacular, love the glens you have to walk thru to reach them.
ATB Frank.👍🏔
Great video! That cycle in to Derry lodge is stunning. Far better than walking along the 4x4 track for 5km in and 5km out.
Looks like you had a lot more ice to deal with than I did back in November when I bagged Beinn Bhreac and Beinn a' Chaorainn from lin of dee.
Cheers Dylan, usually cycling in is better but was very dodgy that day, we walked with bikes a fair bit as it was just too icy.
Still to do those 2, love that area now.
ATB Frank👍🏔
Just came over from Paul's vid. Great video Frank. Big day for the time o the year. Stunning drone footage tae. 👌😎. No seen Glen Derry with it's winter coat oan before.
Cheers Kevin for watching and the sub👍
Always takes longer when ploughing thru some deep snow and fighting a stiff wind🤣🤣 pity I couldn’t get some more drone footage, but weather had other ideas, was up the neck of the woods 2 weeks prior and what a difference, no snow at all.
ATB Frank.👍🏔
Great video Frank. Some nice blue skies in there sometimes. A see a familiar face in Paul. Will check out his video as well. I was out at the weekend for first time in a while, was good. Video nearly done, Think my video making skills have suffered a bit after long lay off 😁
Cheers Andrew, yeh weather started off lovely then deteriorated. Glad got some footage to show how lovely that part of Scotland is. Yeh teamed up with Paul for this one and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad you got out, what did you do.?
And I’ll look forward to your vid.
ATB frank.👍🏔
@@hikingwithfrank315 the 2 on the east side of drumochter. Was alot tougher and longer than anticipated as a fair amount of snow which slowed us down a bit. But all in all good to get out and first of many this year 👍
@@andrewsadventures5747 yeh it defo slows you down ploughing thru the snow, 1st of many this year right enough Andrew, just need some decent weather.☀️🏔👍
@@hikingwithfrank315 yip bring it on! Plenty of sun plz!! 🤞🤞🤞
Nice one frank. Atb gordon
