    Nice review. What are your thoughts on Fleer Ultra e-pack

    • @MainelyHockeyCards
      @MainelyHockeyCards  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I really don’t know yet. I think it’s a cool trial concept with bigger cards than say, Compendium, but would prefer if physical packs were available. I’m not sure how well that will bode if the product doesn’t sell out.

      @@MainelyHockeyCards understood. I have yet to see an e-pack product not sell out. All it takes are some big cards to sell. I am picking up multiples of the rainbow silvers, amazing quality control. I will be doing a big PSA submission when I get everything in.

    just want to thank you for the great content. This video was invaluable for me because I was just gifted a few binders of sports cards from a friend. While I regularly buy/sell NFL and MLB I know nothing, Nothing. about Hockey. Its a sport I just never got into. So not only do the players not jump out at me diether did the inserts or card types themselves. This helped me with my original sorting and I realized that if it weren't for your video I would have thrown away a few 30 dollar cards !!! Thanks man!

      2023 has been the year of Extended and OPee Chee

    I started collecting earlier this year. I haven’t gotten too much hobby stuff other than some loose packs here and there so I’m mostly limited to retail. My goal is to complete the base sets for series 1,2, and extended as well as for Metal universe, Allure, and MVP. I think the inserts for extended are by far the best of the flagship series and Metal universe retail seems to be a better investment over hobby.

    As someone who rips a lot, apart from a few disagreements here and there, this is a very good and accurate list. The only thing I'll say is that extended is super puzzling. I think it'd be a good product but they never put any good young guns in them! They should at least have 1 or 2 A+ tier players in them but they have always had very sub par rookies.
    However I personally feel though that so many middle cost products like spx, spa, ice, opcp are getting incredibly watered down and I am hesitant to buy any boxes anymore. The fact that prices are higher, big hits are getting way harder to find, AND the price is going up has made ripping a lot less fun for me personally.

    i really like synergy.. to me 100 per box is really expensive. i love opc for the price and opc platinum are beautiful cards. my allures seem to be sticking to the sleeves and are warping really bad.. the plats do to .. to me the synergy are super cool and i love metal uni too.. when I do my 1st grade reveal one will be a metal universe

    If UD would include Parkhurst Priority Signings into Parkhurst packs instead of redemption packs, I think Parkhurst's brand would be much higher than it is. I think the SP Signature Legends should have never been produced, and those autos and hits from should be in Artifacts, Ice and OPC to add value to those boxes.

    Thanks for the video. I think Upper Deck has too much product. You could pull a rare card today, but I fear it would just be one of many rare cards from many sets and what value would it have 20 years from now?

    I don't rip. I love Stature and once watched a case break where teams sold for 90 to 290. Not one person came close to getting their money back with higher end teams not even getting a single card from that team. You should do a video on what YOU would do as head of Upper Deck because they are so behind and they need to eliminate some of these products and which ones. There are about eight I would get rid of. Great insightful video.

    With how messed up the OPC Platinum cards were this year, I think Allure has definitely been the better product to open out of the two.

    • @ItsPandaYouTubeYT
      @ItsPandaYouTubeYT Před 9 měsíci

      @@ozsportscardcollector2.512 not even close. OPCP has been the hobbys staple for chromatic cards and the prizm/topps chrome look. OPCP has the name and recognition with typically higher potential for bigger/better hits. Allure is just Platinums little brother

      Quality control ruined it for me with this product this year. They improved the QC on Metal and ruined it on OPCP.
