Those who have enough money to go to a university in Canada and obtain skills in demand are wanted. Those who obtain skills that are not in demand add to the competition and are not wanted and creare a problem both to themselves and to the whole economy.

Don’t worry, just calm down. I’ve observed that they select those that are nervous and drill them with plenty questions. So just have your documents ready and prepare of all possible questions so you can be calm and ready
People need to stop putting things on social media. When I was in school they had this to assist the genuinely needy people. Those who for some reason weren't able to afford food. Putting this on social media and bragging about it makes it seem like you're taking advantage of it. This is unfortunately going to affect new comers. When I first came to Canada in 2010, things were more relaxed. All these new ppl taking advantage of the system are going to ruin things for people wanting to come to Canada. May God help you guys

These are all valid points! Came to Canada with my family in December. We had over 10k usd cash with us... but the officer still asked us to show more funds😅 Thankfully we had printed bank statements and was able to show that... Point to note... when you're in at the POE ... observe all the officers and pray to avoid the problematic ones😂 I already saw 3 people that were likely deported because the officers were not convinced with their responses.

Well to my knowledge, Yes he can. You may seek another opinion to be double sure. I know Family reunification is allowed and also you filled him as your home tie back home. At most he’d be asked his nature is Business or work back home and proof of funds to cover your son. They should both dress very well and look sharp. No fears they may not get asked plenty things.
The second time was smooth for you because you were returning to Canada from Nigeria. That means that you are likely to return to Nigeria after your studies and not stay. The more you return back to your country from other countries or from Canada the less likely they would harass you. They see it has you having a commitment in Nigeria and not likely to abuse the system by claiming asylum.

Too many people using Visitors visa because it is cheaper and overstaying is a no no. Being British born Canadian embassy invited me themselves to apply. I had to call to check if their email was fake - it was not they were looking for UK people to come and I was invited back to meet Businesses, schools (for those who wanted to come with their kids), and even removal companies....I did not move in the end but if I want to I meet the points system. It would be fast track residential visa.

Advised for those who are nervous, any time u experience that ; confess to the officer/ say it out like ( please bear with me I am nervous, please don't be upset, am nervous OR say it out loud and do not be ashamed of that okay. REMEMBER it is not unheard of that someone is uncomfortable but it is bad when try to conceal that moment of nervousness. Be open and relax.
