      To an extent I understand your argument. However, I believe it is relative to individual(s) and to how good his or her time management skills is. One thing I know is, people have done it and had awesome results. Understanding once self is key and based on this knowledge, you can decide on what your body can take and vice versa.

    Some people don't know how to pick up hints and how to read the sign of the times. Western countries are experiencing economic downturns and are tightening their belts based on this fact. Things will get tighter, so you must either restrategize/recalculate or fall by the wayside.

    I would still prefer 20hrs a week..how do you focus on your studies when you focus on full time work as a student? Eventually, you end up continuing with low paid job while their people get internships and the skilled jobs. Go to school , study hard, LEARN ..make good grades...if Canada shines on you fine - if not, some other places will absorb you. Most importantly, you have built a strong body of knowledge - which was the initial intent of coming to Canada.

    • @AsyDarlynVlogs

    • @aghatiseokoro4320
      @aghatiseokoro4320 Před 2 měsíci

      @@gatestimonymiracle1302 First, it is important to understand the rationale behind the 20-hour per week work limit for students in most countries. This policy is not designed to cover all their expenses during their stay, such as tuition, accommodation, and food. Instead, it serves as a supplement to the funds they initially planned or had for their studies. Ideally (and I emphasize ideally), an international student should have sufficient funds to cover their tuition and living expenses for the entire duration of their studies or should have a scholarship that provides for these needs. If you spend 40 hours per week working, what investment are you making in the primary reason you are there-your education? Having completed my master's in the UK and my PhD in Canada (both on scholarships), I have observed many talented students struggle academically and face immigration issues due to overworking.

    It takes a few to spoil it for all.
    If people kept the limit and studied and worked within limits then they would not have changed the rules.
    In UK we did this change a while back and people were complaining - I am a British citizen and barely had time to work and ended up working in the campus bookshop so I could get discount on my textbooks and work between classes and have my evenings and weekends to study.
    It is not as if some new student cannot even house share to save money but they will be boasting about their income thus creating animosity. Keep quiet and study and do your business silently, no, they must make noise.
    Every where else they are limiting people coming in now.
    Blame the new people who cannot keep the laws and complain you do not want them to progress....they forget some people have been there longer and worked slowly up the ladder - some want to fly before they can work.

    24 hours, I believe that is what they give in the UK. Now, it will be difficult for many students to live in the big cities in Canada because they’re expensive! If you’re a student looking to come to Canada, you better apply to live in Manitoba, Sackawan or In the city Red Deer, Alberta. Where rent is cheap. Edmonton maybe, just forget about Calgary if you’re a student, it’s expensive! Don’t even think about Toronto or Vancouver! They did the press because of the Canadian White Citizens! They want these ones to vote for them! Eat like a man of God, 😂😂😂 good one, my dear! I really enjoyed this video!

    One way to pass this rule is to get 2 jobs. One on campus and one off campus. On campus jobs are competitive and hard to get, but you can work as much as you want, and it doesn't count towards the new 24-hour cap for off campus work. It usually ranges between 8-20 hours, since they have to accommodate many students. Don't quote me on it sha, do your research.
    Also, create enough time to study, because if you end up working a lot and fail a course, that's just extra expenses since you'll have to retake it.
    You can also get cash jobs, like braiding, mowing lawns, baby sitting, and house sitting. For extra cash. Don't over do it .

    • @claritabbz
      @claritabbz Před 3 měsíci

      Yea, they've definitely become stricter with their rules. I wouldn't advise anyone to try working over 24 hours off campus during the fall and winter terms though. I did most of my work during the summer break since I never took summer classes, I was working 40 hours plus overtime and all.
