Clone commando Scorch did not make it out alive in The Bad Batch season 3 finale. Scorch will always be remembered as an epic clone trooper from the Republic Commando video game. The death of Scorch was pretty lame to see. Rest in peace Scorch. - Zábava
What did you think of Scorch's death?
To quote Scooby Doo Dracula: you said a mouthful. And it is very rude to talk with your mouth full (seriously if you haven’t watched Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf, do so. It’s funny)
It really sucks because it could have had so much more. + The specialised troopers should have been released earlier so they could have much more and seem more dangerous. They didint seem so dangerous when they just died
Terrible death for are boy 😢
So dramatic
Yes, they did him dirty. I'm just so upset. They showed us once Delta Squad in TCW and we never got episodes about them. But there are plenty of unnecessary stories especially in season 3.
They nerfed Scorch quite a lot. He should have had a much more important role and he should not have had to die in the show
I was quite ok with him dying, Scorch was beyond saving at this point in the show and it was way too late to write a redemption arc for him, I just hoped he would be a bigger obstacle than a standard TK trooper. But no he just got gunned down without problems, the CX troopers no one cared about got a better and more respectful end than a 20 year old fan favourite they completely wasted and just used because he looked cool
Why does it feel like Disney writers hate the clones? Or maybe they are just bad writers? I don't know.🤷♂
@@thomasjenson7899 it's less hating the clones and just more not making the antagonists more human
It was a clone of scorch, the real scorch was a spy for rex and you can see the real one watching tk troopers dig up stuff at tantis when Tarkin Decommissioned it at the end
@@Mr_Eddude The real one found Sev on Kashyyyk together with Boss and Fixer and they spend the rest of their peaceful lives sniffing Bacta!
Bro was shot like Commander Thorn except for the fact that Scorch killed no one! 😂 Thorn also went out like a banger!
True
Ye
Atleast he did not get eaten by the Zillo beast.
Unlike that one clone commando who did and had only a stun baton...zillo beast was still a baby before it got big that episode
They introduced him with such a banger in Season 1, going up against the whole Bad Batch squad by himself, injuring Gregor and knocking down Tech before tanking half a dozen stun rounds. Then the best he gets for 2 full seasons was abducting a small girl and walking around before getting gunned down doing nothing. Couldn't Filoni just paint him blue and give him another name? Would have served the same purpose without ruining a character.
He’s not dead he just needs some Bacta
he better be funny again afterwards
SOLDIER, GET SOME BACTA
They never should've used scorch's armor design in war mantle to begin with. They should've just made a new commando for this show. Delta squads legacy and any future content for them will be deterred by Scorch's death
It’s Star Wars the only way to stay dead is to be a Skywalker or to have slept with a Skywalker.
This was probably done on purpose. They despise pre Disney Star Wars content
@@jamesxiaolong2199tell that to Tech
@@user-kv5lq9xm8cThis is very true
@@user-kv5lq9xm8c I think this was Filoni trying to show "appreciation" by including Delta Squad. The problem is that Filoni has an obsession with keeping the characters he creates alive at any cost.
Scorch was a good soldier in the clone wars until he worked for the Empire. Good soldiers follow orders
Maybe he isnt funny anymore because the Empire told him to cut the jokes lmao
@Elevator829 Honestly I doubt the Empire cares. Maybe he got more serious after what happened to Sev. I mean the game gives you 0 time to process his MIA status. I was running all the way back to his position the second I heard hd was in trouble only to get cucked by a cutscene.
The worst part about Scorch's death is that people who are upset about his death are being harassed and bullied. Who cares how old he is? There's no expiration date on loving a character. This wasn't Scorch! They straight-up murdered Scorch and his legacy.
Scorch would've been such a cool final boss with Vode An playing
“Scorch is about twelve years old. He's also twenty-four, measured in how far along that path to death he actually is, which is the only definition I care about. He's running out of time faster than me." - Walon Vau (Delta Squad’s mentor)
I’m very disappointed on the way they killed him like that but we can still see Scorch again if they decide to make a Delta squad show around the clone wars.
The writers just gave up at the finale. It was so anticlimactic, so low stakes, and left SO MANY unanswered questions. Who are the Clone Xs? Who is CX-2? What happened to Cody? What happened to Wolffe? Where is Tech? Where is Delta Squad? Why did the nerf Scorch so much? Why can’t Dave Filoni stop being a child and writing in so much fanfare without letting it pay off? When will Disney stop making trash?
I can at least answer some of this for you. Unknown. Unknown. Unknown. Unknown. Tech is dead. Unknown. Unknown but small chance he survived if you can find him within one of the scenes around when Tarkin landed I think it was. Unknown. And finally, disney will never stop making trash decisions until they learn to respect star wars.
@@kingpanther424 Thanks. Also all those fan theories of Tech being CX-2 and Dave gives us the middle finger and kills him.
The clone operatives are meant to be completely unknown clones. They even said they’re clean slates. Face it techs dead.
Tech is dead
I think you genuinely watched the show for all the wrong reasons and now you’re baffled why you’re disappointed based on your own delusions
I don’t think the writers ever even heard of republic commando. They probably just saw some artwork, saw that scorch had grey markings and figured he’d be a good fit for the blandness displayed by the empire, when in reality scorch had the most personality. Hopefully they do delta squad justice in a future tales of the clones series
They all have personality. 40 is very by the books and serves as the straight man between Scorches comedy and Sevs offputting psychopathy. Even you as 38 display uniqeness via accent and quirks like your squad responding to your weird ass orders because you rebound interact to triangle like a dummy.
Apparently he might not be dead. In the scene where Tarkin is in the destroyed hangar, there are a few Commandos standing there and one of them looks like him.
sadly this is most likely a animation error, since there are 4 commandos in total, who have the same armor patterns as scorch :/
No he's dead. They just used the model for some reason
This could have been so much easier just making it some generic clone commando or just make a new character in the armour.
I always thought seeing scorch we would have some finale with Delta squad vs bad batch and an epic fight or something. They did him so dirty, now i actually hope that its just another clone commando with the armor like scorch like filoni said in season 2
Even if they were to try to set that up later down the road, it's not gonna mean much when we get a time jump with the bad batch being ok
The best they could do now is just be a part of the eventual clone rebellion whether they're with the empire or rebelled
Issue being he is called Scorch in the series several times
@@jeanhunter3538he was called scorch once in one episode by DR hemlock. That’s it
@@d4nnylaflame896 so he’s scorch then, that’s all that’s needed to confirm it
@@d4nnylaflame896Even calling him Scorch once is enough to canonize it. Itd be like referencing Heavy after the outpost that was besieged by droids. Heavy is a code name used all the time so itd ve feasible to have 2 people with the name heavy. But this isnt irl its a narrative and so naming consistency is important. Especially with clones as their code name is their only differentiating ID besides serial number.
I feel this role would have suited fixer more as he was cold and calculated, then save boss and scorch to see sev again one day
Rip Scorch he could have been so much ore
This was the thing I hated most in the whole episode, and look how much I hated how the commando clones were nerfed to ridiculousness other than that it was a cool series
Clone commandos overall were disappointingly represented in this show. I was holding out hope for animated star wars but it seems this too no longer respects the legacy.
I agree they made the commandos push overs they are supposed to be the best elite clones that are hard to take down but now they have become nothing more but storm troopers who get shot once and die
Just like Death Troopers in Rebels
Filoni hates Imperial elites it seems
I was wanting some confrontation with the commandoes, 'How can you do this to your brothers?'
He got scorched
He survived because Scroch rememberd rule 39 "never say no to bacta"
Now im kinda glad Fordo is non canon cause he woulda pry gotten killed lamely like this.
Shhh, don’t give Filoni ideas! 😂
Just another common Disney canon L. Come to the EU, my son.

@grievetan wrong executive producer.
@@s.c.a.rairsoft1205 Filoni has a lot of creative sway though. Even if he wasnt the director, being the executive producer actually gives him a stronger sway. Animation directors arent like movie directiors.
They honestly gave clone commando fans the complete middle finger. I don’t know how Lucasfilm/Disney even approved of this.
Apparently Scorch's still alive, he's in that huge shot showing the empire landing on the Ruins of Tantiss
Might be an animation mistake tho
yeah same, so is it going to be an: some how scorch returned scenario
@@jarnoparet7394he had bacta
It was you could see like three scorchs in the same shot
nah fam, there were like 5 of scorches’ models in the end scene, he’s dead
If we get a Republic Commando sequel it'll have to be Pre-Bad Batch
It warms my heart so many of us are upset over Scorch. I didnt think he was this popular or known in the star wars community. I hope the backlash catches the eyes of some higher ups and they remake Republic Commando or give us a more substantial Delta Squad closure.
I agree
to be fair, Scorch is a fan favourite in the community (especially for the older fans who played republic commando)
i generally thought scorch was going to die by wrecker fighting but they just wasted him but he was like a teachers pet, just following around
If there is ONE character I’d be fine with Disney reviving, it’d be Scorch. So much wasted potential.
Imagine how the story of him surviving would go, and how he’d be disillusioned with the Empire. For the record, I do think he’s dead despite the fact that his visor was still lit, but a man can dream
Disney x Filoni. A combination worse than we could have imagined.
Scorch is my fav commando of all time
Makes me feel old knowing all the characters I grew up with are getting killed and replaced. Delta > Batch always
"- No, they killed Scorch!
- You bastards!"
It sucks because they already had lore for what happened to delta squad in the republic commando books
Remember Scorch got the “Imperial upgrade”
you actually can see Scorch from behind when Tarkin arrived
Scorch deserved better. Well at least he didn't get killed by the Zillo
Thanks for reminding me that Gregor survived shots to the upper torso in the katarn class armor
That means the writer wants him DEAD. More dead than Tech because not only Scorch got shot, but he fell off great heights
rip clonelius
I don’t know why they went through the trouble of making this Scorch officially when he originally was made as a homage (albeit a near carbon copy). When they made him Scorch because of fan hype, they should have rewritten how involved he was to at least put up a good fight as a final boss. And if he’s somehow alive that’s worse, since there’s a bad pattern now of characters not dying when they should. All the commandos got done dirty in the series.
If we compared Republic Commando to TMNT characters, Scorch would be 100% Mikey.
Seeing him emotionless and later wasted is just sad.
scorch has been my favorite clone trooper for nearly 10 years now.
i almost broke down watching the last episode of bad batch
he survived... we saw him when tarkin arrived
Where?

It's hard to see but that could be Scorch. But it's probably an animation error
@@le__0381 knowing how bs star wars is now... prob not lol
@@kinggeorgethe1st554 They really be letting all the side characters survive but when the main characters pull up they gotta die still pissed about han solo's death since 2015 💀
@Warmachinerox33 Han didn't die.... knock off Disney star wars dosnt count lol
I thought scorch would at least have a moment where he realises he hates the empire or something and helps clones and dies heroically instead he died in the first proper battle he was slightly involved in in 3 seasons immediately
Here me out I hated this ending like everyone else but what if those blaster fire shots knocked some sense back into Scorch he survives the fall and now feels a completely different way towards the empire. He finds Rex an they do something idk what but they were obviously hinting at another show with rex so maybe they will put him in there. Sounds stupid I know but I can not have my boy go out like that I just can't.
It was so brutal for Scorch to get shot like that. Look at the holes on his chest. It was so awful and so sad. Because he was a great soldier of the Republic. Who fought with Delta Team. We only saw him in Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Witches of the Mist, in video game, and The Bad Batch series. We didn’t see Clone Sergeant Boss, Fixer, and Sev in other shows. And we didn’t see Captain Rex, Captain Howzer, Captain Gregor, Tech, Commander Cody, and Commander Wolffe in the final episode of the Bad Batch. I wanted to see Wolffe and Scorch and the other clones change sides. I wanted to know the faiths of Tech and Cody. Now we can’t. That was so disappointing. Now the Empire is evolving their armies, ships, and their support.
i was hoping for a big wrecker vs scorch boss fight in the finale
"if we're all clones, why am I the only one with a sense of humor?"
In much the same way that disney doesn't consider legends as canon, I do not consider this version of scorch as canon.
Scorch was mistreated in this show. His talents were wasted in the empire being used as a glorified bodyguard and dying a pathetic death.
Scorch quits Delta Squad because they had not other choice to leave Sev behind
Commandos in general were done dirty, but why in the galaxy did they had to make Scorch, Hemlock’s lapdog?
The unfortunate reality is the Republic Commando, and its subsequent novel series, are all Legends content now ever since the canon shift with Disney, so in my mind the inclusion of Delta squad in the Clone Wars and Scorch in the Bad Batch (if they don't retcon it) has always been more of an Easter egg/call back to the game/books that I never really took too seriously and in my opinion I don't think anyone else should either. Their inclusion in Disney made Star Wars content has always been more fan service than anything else.
The disrespect is insane
this is why i dont want to see any Republic Commando themed content in near 20 years
And yet people will still defend this animated crap. Disney and “savior” Filoni can take their precious OCs and shove them. They have zero respect for what came before and so I have zero respect for them. Clone Wars Multimedia Project reigns supreme!
This death was so bad. It gave a famous twitter account a severe mental breakdown
"Was it red red green or green red red" scorch
fr they had some of the most legendary quotes (hey 07, this one looks like your mother)
"And he is supposed to be the Demolition expert?"
That pretty much distracted me from the rest of the episode.
You know they screwed up when I was concerned more about Scorch than the reunion of Omega and the batch lol.
To be fair Scorch has been around a lot longer and was probably very instrumental in the childhoods of a lot of people watching the Bad Batch. We’ve been wondering his fate for a few decades and we’ve only known Omega a couple years
He survived , at the destroyed tantis scene you can zoom in a lot and see him
“62 is down! Someone help him!”
Weird that Scorch is apparently Filonis favoraite Commando and they did not just Scorch dirty but ALL the Commandos.
Guess Disney just like making fan favorite characters worse off than before.
Rest in peace “Delta 62”
FEEEEELLLLOOOONIIIIIIII
I enjoy the Bad Batch finale a ton but this is such a scorch (pun very much intent) to the legacy of the Republic Commando, like WTF. I have faith that Filoni is going to do something with him in the end, now I just feel burnt and betrayed.
Filoni my ass, more like Felony of legacy appropriation
bluds visor was still lit up when he fell
Scorch should have get some bacta
Bro he’s alive. You can see him on the hangar when the empirial fleet arrives ( when the Tia are searching the place)
Look how they massacred my boy 😢
Delta squad wasnt relevant in canon
instead of bad batch we should have got a delta squad series
I could’ve sworn at the end frame where Tarkin is at Tantiss, you can see Scorch standing on the right side of a platform.
Scorch got a John Marston from Red Dead type off death.
He may be alive. After the stardestroyer u can see the hangar right befor tarkin. In the bottom right corner there is a clone commando with scorchs armour markings
RIP in a memory of Scorch 2005-2024 he was 19
Filoni just doesn’t like non Filoni clones
Justice for Scorch!
Republic Commando 2 starts with scorch being shot down, falling off, waking up and then being saved by the Empire.
#scorchisntdead
Guys, he got shot in the arm, 3 more times in the chest, (he looked dead to me after the 3rd shot tbh) and then shot in the chest again and then fell on his own to his death. Bro’s death was like Commander Thorn And Tech combined. Also about the whole Tarkin Scorch background thing, well, Star Ward as a whole is somewhat known for its animation errors him being there was probably one as well. Also, just let him go. C’mon.
They gave scorch the batman treatment from suicide squad. AND WHAT HAPPENED TO CODY?? Literally just made him disappear out of thin air and gave up on letting us find out who cx-12 is...
which episode was Delta squad in again? i forgot
Friend of mine on Discord told me what happened with Scorch
Went to Geetsly’s to get their input
I stopped after I hit the 6:49 mark when Scorch pretty much went out like a chump
You can see scorch on tantis after the battle and he is alive
He didn't die, you can see him in the background when Tarkin pulls up
hes alive lol, if you watch the scene when tarken arives and it shows the wreckage there is a trooper with the yellow markings and black paint. I hope this is the case but I also hope its not though. Would have been cool to see him duke it out with the bad batch and absolutely beat their asses near death only to go down in a warriors death. We saw him tank stun shots like nothing so he is obviously really strong and well trained.
I wanted him to either survive or go out fighting, like in a melee battle.
INCAPACITATED.
Well this video aged well.
Scorch is still alive i saw him when admiral Tarkin was on mount Tantiss
I was kind of expecting him to go out the way he did. I looked at this scorch as a totally different character since the game is no longer canon. Scorch now is only RC scorch in name only. I think the issue with his death was the fact that we are seeing this character as the same one from the game when for the most part they are not.
Maybe he’ll become a dark trooper?
They cough him oof guard, sadly he had no chance 😭😭😭😭 , but it was just like tech's death, it was just like that for me , just a little less crying
so... is this scorch? is it confirmed? his armor and gear are different
He is not dead he hid under the dumpster
Disney just loves pissing off old fans. I can understand him being a bad guy as he was bred to follow orders, but they should've had him go out like a boss. He should've been a bigger threat and eliminated some named characters before his death. He was the most memorable commando. Don't fret though rc fans, we can still see them do Fixer dirty in 21 years when they get around to him🎉
I thought it was pretty lazy tbh. They could have at least had him fight hunter in hand to hand combat before getting wasted. And the fact that hemlock dies the exact same way is also lame.
My biggest problem with this show is how they kept sidelining Echo. He didn't get to shine until the last two episodes, which was such a let down. I can kind of understand why because he's far too competent, and he would have made everything seem like a cake walk. That's a bit of poor planning with the show runners, though.
Scorch suffered much the same, perhaps worse, because he would also have been over-powered and hyper-competent. So they nerfed him like they nerfed Echo. He deserved far better.
True but he definitely felt like the main character in the season finale he shined through the entire episode
Shaboingboing
character development? In Tantiss? Those are all just some brainwashed clones that only follow orders
Gone?
Guess the other members must be dead or awol.
