@@imrank9282 No there were 3 Asian actors that have been nominated in the past. Nonetheless, Riz became the first Muslim and Pakistani, and Steve became the first Korean and Asian-American to be nominated in this category.

You realize how much Glenn was carrying the show when viewership for TWD dropped to less than half after he left
Also,seven season got really good at the end,but the eight one was just...planning stuff,adding that Glenn died and would never appear again made the viewiers lost interest quickly,even tho season nine is gold

Imo he wasn't carrying the show too hard and that's why people stopped watching, I think it was the fact that his death was so sad that people just didn't even want to continue the show. Also, some of the ones that did continue stopped because it got pretty complicated after a while.

As a Korean, I really love how he pronounced "Minari" with a perfect Korean accent.
He is fluent and can be found in actual Korean movies such as Burning (2018)

The reason why minari is counted as a foreign language film is because the rule is it needs to be at least 51% in english for main categories. But it definitely doesn't make sense because inglorious bastards didn't meet the criteria and was still considered.

Steve is so right about how asian kids don't always know what we're eating or how to describe it when people ask. I'm just like, idk but i like it.
As I am start cooking Korean food after my mom, I realize how "complicated" Korean seasonings usually are for each dish. That's why kids usually can't figure out what they are eating.
Seriously, our parents bring food and different kinds of vegetables, leaves/plants that are either dried, pickled, fermented. We just add it in different dishes and eat it. And those are delicious.

@@alempongen5919 exaclty, me being chinese, my mum would make food and others would ask "what is that" and I wouldn't know how to answer. Or I would make a sandwitch with greens, and not know the name, as we grew them ourselves. We'd boil/)whatever it is called when you use the pan with oil and ginger ) greens and someone would be like "what is that, which lettuce is that?" "Why is it soft and cooked?"
and the asian parents NEVER explain LOL

As an Asian, when Steven said that he doesn’t always know what he’s eating, I FELT THAT.

What a legend. Loved him as Glenn, still the saddest death I think I've seen on a show, but it's great to see how far he's come since then.
was sad in the show but a happy death in reality because it got him out of the trainwreck that show had become and gave him more time to make good projects

i hated minari as a really little kid, but my grandma grew her own so by like middle school(?), i loved it! it does have a strong taste that can be divisive (like cilantro), but i think once you acquire the taste, it's unfortunate when you can't find it anymore T^T
