I have never heard this until now !! It is just the most beautiful song I have ever heard and he does it such great justice. He was an extrordinary man !!! I love all of his music.
Thirsty Boot is what I called the saloon in my western novels.
John always delivered a song with emotion, not forgetting his background musicians. John's voice was exceptional which always brings sadness that he is gone.
No one could perform this song as beautifully as John did.
One of his best in my opinion, only got better with age🙏
Some how, I feel me whole life, John’s soul, and I connected. I have loved, and sang John Denver’s song throughout my life. Even though I’m 25 in 2023, music seems to be very different today than what music was in the 70s. I sure do wish music was like it was today. The only I listen to is John Denver, and Country Music. From classic country music to modern country music. But these days, I listen to John Denver every day while I work.
Thanks for posting. Love this song. Miss John so much.
I will alway love JD until the day I die!!!!
Love this song.. feels like home🎼
❤❤❤
Beautiful song. I remember it from the I Want to Live album. So many fantastic songs on it.
Was that James Burton on the guitar? I seem to recall it was Lee Ritenour on the album version.
Yes, it is James. You'll notice that piano player Glenn D. Hardin is also there.
I believe it is. James was part of his band in the late 70's and early 80's. Hal Blaine, the wrecking crew drummer was also in his band at that time.
My understanding is that Jerry Weintrub, John's manager, was involved with Elvis's manager from the early '70's, (come back tour)and when Elvis passed several members of the TCB band began to play with John almost immediately
A voice that was silenced way too soon.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
