1964- John Denver - Capitol Records Audition 4 songs

- Everyone has to start their career somewhere, and in these archival tapes we hear John sing four songs for an audition for a contract at Capitol records in 1964. We now know that did not happen, but we have these early tapes to appreciate John's dedication to his craft. We do know how far he progressed. That's something to celebrate!

John Denver touched many lives, hearts and souls. He still does if you’re paying attention.✨😉💖✨
My favorite singer of all time. I first heard of him when I was 17. I will be 70 in a few months. My love of his music has never faded. John inspired millions with his voice and his music. For all the Denver fans today will continue to carry his legacy to the next generation. I hope that his fans were able to see him in concert at least once before he died. 😢 I got to see him twice in concert. 😊 May his spirit continue to live in our hearts 💕
I turn 70 in a few months too! John Denver gave us visions of clear blue skies and rolling seas. Very touching and inspiring through nature, a lovely voice, beautiful guitar playing, and lots of genuine love our planet.
Thank God for John Denver. What a difference he made in all our lives. We are blessed to have been alive during his time here. And thank God for Milt Okun, Hal Thau, and - yes - Jerry Weintraub who saw and heard something in this young man's voice and helped develop him into the superstar he became.

John had such a special talent to make you feel that he was singing just to you, he made it such a personal experience. I was blessed to see him in concert about 12 times throughout the years with my family, 3 were his Christmas concerts where he brought in local children’s choir to help him with a lot of the choruses on the Christmas songs. He was simply magic on stage.
I bet Capitol Records was kicking themselves after John became a big star. 😂

Just an amazing man that gave he's all to the world every song he sang was very special to all the people he met along the way we all are so happy to have him in our lives including one big fan such as me. ❤😊🎶🎤🎸🎹🎻🎼❤
