  • 642 Alpha (1378) from West Logan Fire & Rescue and 510 Alpha (1227) from Acacia Ridge Fire & Rescue both responding to a large vegetation fire threatening multiple sheds on property in Park Ridge.

    I used to work out of Logan West QAS years ago when West Logan had their La France. That thing spent more time at the mechanics than at the station. Never driven a Scania but they certainly seem more reliable.

    Why didn't 642A have its sirens on until it passed you?

      They activated their siren to let the 000 callers know they were approaching the scene as the fire was at the bottom of the hill seen in this video.
      The OIC decided there was no need for the siren otherwise.
