9C1 - Transmission Refresh

In this episode I clean everything up on this th350 trans. After that, all new external seals are replaced along with the pan gasket and filter.

The speedo adapter is for the specific gear set.
I had a ‘79 K15 that came with one. When I got rid of the 1/2 ton axles with 3.08 gears, I only had to remove the adapter for my 3/4 ton axles (4.10 gears) to make my speedo work correctly.

Perhaps bigger tires were installed and the gear reducer was used to compensate? Or speedometer gauge went higher than a typical vehicle .
