What is harder about free bird, is that this solo is basically at least 2 or more guitars playing at the same time. I still am amazed that they remember this solo almost note to note somehow
im pretty sure the original recording Allen Collins uses the same recording and just layered them for that sound. Thats why the live performances when he plays freebird something sounds like it is missing.
@@armando6169 Its easy to learn each individual riff in the solo. The solo is. basically a bunch of blues riffs all tied together. That being said, being able to seamlessly transition between all of the licks for 5 min straight is the hard part.
Learn it lick by lick, and practice the transitions between them. This is how you should learn any long or complex songs, bit by bit until you get it implanted into your brain.
Not necessarily hard just need to be precise for it to sound right and it’s long so a bit of room for error but I’ve never thought it was specifically hard though
