- After last week's disappointing end, it is nice to have such a productive weekend! Not only did we find where the existing water line enters the house, but we have the pump house foundation poured, Our 175' trench dug, all our power lines and water lines running from the Shop House to the Pump House, I am so excited that we are just a few steps away from having our own water source. As the weather changes and the leaves fall it's exciting to see how much we have accomplished.

Cement is the gray dust in the bag, Concrete is sand, rock, and cement mixed in a Concrete Mixer
Water lines and electrical in the same trench generally require them to be buried at separate depths. I'm sure it feels nice to have access to your own water though
how do you know how to do all of this!? do you have a contracting degree or...? so impressive
That motor you just trashed probably has a bunch of copper wire in it - that has good scrap value.

James. The power cables need to be in pvc the whole way. That’s not direct burial cable. That wire looked like Rw90, yes rubber coated but not direct burial. Also need separation from water line. I realize that you are on a budget but it would have been better to run #2 ACWU . Still aluminum but like a tek cable.
I didn’t see a ground wire for the new cement mixer cord.
