(thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn

Lol....someone put a 202 in the recycle bin here in westunion s.c. yesterday wtf? I grabbed the stick they use for retrieval and I pulled her out from certain death by crushing....changed batteries and ta da ! Thank you whoever put 200$ in the trash....I added to our collection....BAM!

Ordered one off of eBay this afternoon. I'm going to test it out then send it to my two nephews who caught the detecting bug this summer with their Uncle.
Got mine 5 years ago and I have found Silver, gold, Many Many coins. Is a great tool. Fun.

Hey Russ how you doing buddy. I just picked up one of these Pioneer 202's the other day. For $50. Couldn't beat the deal. And I absolutely love it. Thinking about getting the lone star or the time ranger next. I absolutely love how light this thing is I can swing it all day. And it's got decent depth. Take care hope all is well with you.

I have a 202 I have had for several year stored out in the garage, I can lay quarter on the floor and after a while it will pick it up as aquarter sometimes it thiks its a dinr and every now and then it thinks it is zinc. No matter which one it thinks it is it takes many many passes to pick it up. any ideas?
I'll be picking up one of these today. Can't wait to go out to the local parks and find coins. :)
UPDATE : I purchased the 202 (and am awaiting the delivery of the coil cover.) I've been reading the manual that came with the detector ...so far so good.
Picking one up Tomorrow with a nice stainless steel sand scoop and set of dual ear adjustable headphones for just $55.I am pleased.
pls make one for bluetooth? I have like three pairs of wireless headphones and cant find my buds :(

Hello Rudy. That would depend on the size of the gold. Something like a gold ring or coin can be detected to 6+ inches with the 202.
I got one of these today I bought for $40 off a person I mostly need it for trashy area's I got a white dfx metal detector I love that one as well but haveing a small bounty hunter it does help to have one for trashy area's if for the coil conversion its small and dependable to find stuff through trash I got the 950 head for my DFX for crouch hunting and I also got a Oval Eclipse DD deep scan but didn't mind to pay 40 for that bounty hunter to test it out I like collecting all metal detectors. Fun to play around with.

The 2000 is a better detector. I had one. Just got the 202 today. Not what I ordered. I ordered the quick draw2. I’ll Try to get with someone Monday
Is the Pioneer 505 basically the same as the 202 .

The Pioneer 202 Made Me Depressed and Was Not Loads of Fun for the Family. Kids would complain “ Dad all we keep finding is Pop Cans” wife would yell at me !!! Saying you bought a piece of Junk. We are divorced now and now I live on the streets all because of the Pioneer 200. I sold it to buy some booze to forget about the Pioneer 200 on how it ruined my life.
