Hi folks, here is part 5 of my EXTREME PLAYTHROUGH of Days Gone. I hope you all enjoy the video.
The Lisa storyline is my favorite!! Cheers!!!
It's a great storyline which I love, but it's a painful one also.
There are a lot of great story lines in this game: Deacon and Boozer's friendship; Deacon's love for his wife; and, yes, Lisa. This game is very special. On one hand I'd really like a sequel, on the other, I'd be concerned that the content might not match the first.
This is what you call a playthrough / clinic . With the exception of the rare hiccup , everything is going smoothly. A possible tip I may offer as far as animals go is for the bear you encounter after rescuing Lisa. I ran into a building at the corner and safely took pot shots at the bear from within. The bear never once tried to get in. However , he must have known I would run out of ammo and would have to come out lol. I know it's early in the game and I'm sure you will be able to craft fire bolts before you encouter criers because without the use of malatovs there is no other way. You killed it once again my friend. Great video , and great display of skills !
LMAO, you will start to get used to HICCUPS very quickly in this playthrough my friend. No spoilers, but OMG, not the smooth playthrough I had envisaged. The incendiary bolts will come as soon as I get to Lost Lake (after I take out the Ambush Camps there) and then things will get a tad easier. Just hope you enjoy the madness my friend.
For the bear boss in the Marion Forks Lisa rescue mission, sneak up on it from behind, then light it up with a Molotov. That combined with the rapid fire and reload time of the SMP9 smokes the bear, even on Survival 2 difficulty. I didn't even have to run away. 🙂 EDIT: I forgot the rules of the playthrough. Hiding in the pancake house is an excellent idea, LOL.

Oh I remember that horde in ambush camp. I thought I was ninja and all going well and then that orde suddenly jumps in and oh man I had a heart attack 😂😂😂
Your skill in aiming without using focus is amazing. I, on the other hand, shamelessly spend 5 minutes aiming with focus, LOL. The ambush camps are always fun watching with you at the wheel. 🙂
Theres a technique you can use that makes focus not needed as much. I myself only use focus on flankers mainly or very close up shots anything infront of you can be gunned down I try n use focus in bursts makes it more effective imo
Thank you JB, and I have to admit, the Ambush Camps are (second only to the hordes) one of my favorite parts of the game, and because of this, I got pretty good at them with practice. The shots without focus are taking a bit of getting used to though, lol.

Just finished this game today. I have about 6 hordes to clean up and to work out how to do a 5 second doughnut and it will be the first game I’ve ever platinumed! On to the challenges next
Some good news for you here, the challenges are not required for the platinum, so you are not far away from your first my friend. There are however, 10 trophies tied to the challenges, but 3 of them are very tough to get.

I took out the black crater ambush camp from the same direction as you and used residue bolts, very entertaining. I've even uploaded a video of my efforts on my channel.

Don't be down hearted Darryl, it takes time to get noticed, and CZcams does not make it easy for anyone starting. I'll definitely check out your video my friend, especially as applying residue bolts to this lot of whack jobs is always entertaining.
you've finally got some pennies to spend on the bike -- that's gonna open up a lot more options. mostly involving fleeing from wolves xD

As you exit the hot springs if you go to the left slightly and where there is a set of four cabins 2 across from 2 the 1st on the right has a fuel can inside on the stove. I always like to reset every bear trap I come across because you can walk on them without worry if you are the one that set them. Great video Boris Thank you and I'll wait patiently for the next.

Another great video, as always. This episode was pretty much a clinic in patience, good planning, and a very steady hand! Very masterful takedown of the ambush camps, even with your crappy weapons. Although it was nice of the horse to lend you a helping hand at the Belknap Caves ambush camp 😉Now you can rest for a bit at Cope’s. Better wear your earplugs so you don’t have to listen to his truther bullshit 😂 See you on the next one!
Every time I try to type “horde” it comes out as “horse” lol. The horde helped, not the horse! Although a horse in this game would have been pretty cool 🤔

Another very interesting video, I'm curious what is your favourite region in the game? I like Wizard Island, as I actually got to visit there when I was on leave. This was long before I played the game, but it always brings back good memories.
Oh you lucky guy. Visiting Oregon is on my bucket list my friend, before I leave this planet, I want to see the place for real & see for myself where all the areas are that feature in this amazing game. My favorite region is probably Lost Lake, as some of the best characters in the game all reside from this area, and there is some amazing scenery. Wizard Island is a very close second though with the crazy beautiful views that you can get if you go to the right spots.
@@borislav247 yeah, I wish I had more time to explore the area, Crater Lake was amazing, and it's huge, much bigger than it appears in game. I hope I get to revisit one day.

Honestly my friend, because I can't repair the melee weapons, I try to keep them for using only in emergencies. I have a fair bit of ammo though, so I perservere with using that.

At approx 53:35 I always grab that axe on my way by - cheaper than crafting/repairing my own 😁 (it's hard to see here but for those that don't know, there's a premade Saw axe stuck in the dead guy under the -stop- street sign, where the freakers are). I know the fire axe does slightly more damage but imo it's too fragile, making the saw axe the best melee weapon in this half of the game

Oh and btw the skill I would have turned a blind eye too is only a chance of retrieving bolts not guaranteed I thought ya got ammo back each time but no only a chance. I dont know wth this was a skill when deek searches corpses hehe

@@borislav247 I'm surprised you didn't smoke bomb the two that were near you when you were on top of the car. BUT then again, maybe ammo is more available than the resources needed for the smoke bomb? I've only done a paltry 3 playthroughs and as I roam the countryside with my trusty MG55, I kinda don't think about smoke bombing as opposed to just smokin' the bastards with hot lead outright!! 😜🤣🤣🤣
@@greyghostgamerz You are torturing me GG. God i miss the good weapons. My first 4 playthroughs, I never used the smoke bombs at all, as I was like yourself, guns ruled all my decisions, lol.
@@borislav247I didn't think the smoke bombs were useful until I saw Spawnicus Rex use them on the wolves that seem to pop up every time you are on your way to something important. Those plus the Executioner skill make a powerful combination.

Ooo bloody hell thats harsh b 11 saf bullets in ammo tin? Why didnt they change search animations? Ie deek counting bullets? And do any marauders use crossbows? Shame deek cant kick lol he would av gone flying. Excellent use of ak b i know myself that isnt easy using it like that

Ps is it only ambush camps that reveal stuff on map? Ie nests, nero sites etc? Do nero checkpoints reveal anything? Cougars + bears can hit you on van roofs B haha bear knocks you off roof hehe cougar swipes. Ye car/van roofs 100% safe vs wolves n runners.
It's only Ambush Camps that reveal intel of other stuff, and of course reveal more on the map. Nero checkpoints do nothing but give you trust points, credits & fast travel areas.
