Your parents always told you to stay away from boys that get into trouble. To not get mixed up in the wrong crowd. This led you to be a good child. Always got good grades, never got in trouble either. You got a job in the courthouse as the Iudex's assistant. The pay was good and your parents were proud of their child. It's been a few weeks since the Iudex sent you to the Fortress of Meropide for an investigation with fake charges.
You've grown accustomed to the life down here as well. No one here was as bad as your parents thought but you still kept true to their word. One night, the Duke called you to his office. Probably to get your report on the investigation so far to relay it to Neuvillette.
You pushed on the giant metal door until the gap was large enough for your body to slide through. After closing the door the same way, you climbed the stairs that led to his desk above. Wriothesley seemed to be filling out some paperwork by the way his pen scratched on the surface of the paper. “I'm here, Your Grace” you said sheepishly, still nervous being in his presence.
According to your parents, The Duke was once a criminal as well before he got to his position. You've always been scared of him, each time his icy eyes stared at you, your heart fluttered. You always thought it was out of fear though. He looked up at you and a smirk came across his face. “Welcome, y/n” he greeted.
“Is there anything you need, Your Grace?” You asked, wanting to leave his office as soon as possible. You always had a weird feeling around him that was undetectable…at least to you. “Don't be so nervous. I promise I don't bite. Though I'd like to ask you a few questions”
“What are they?” You asked. He gestured to the chair across his desk. Reluctantly you sat in the chair with your hands clasped in your lap and sat straight up. “Are you aware of my feelings?” His question was confusing for you. “What?” He sighed for a moment before standing up. “Are you aware of your own feelings?” He wondered, walking around the desk and in front of you. He leaned against the desk with his hands gripping the edge of it.
“What feelings? I'm confused” Next thing you knew, his face was directly in front of yours and his hands were on the armrests. You leaned back to gain some space but he took some of that back. “I've seen the way you look at me. Even right now your cheeks are flushed” he pointed out. “What? No” you denied his words even though the reality of it was in your heart.
You can't be in love with a guy like him who's practically the head of the criminals. That's how you saw it at least but it didn't stop your heart from beating for him. The look in his eyes seemed that he figured something out. Just great. “Is the goody-two shoes too scared of falling for me? Is that it?” Right on the head. It's not like you were gonna admit he was right.
“No, Your Grace”
“Give me a chance, sweetheart. Aren't you tired of following the rules all the time? Don't you wanna let loose every once in a while?” His words were tempting but you couldn't give in. “No” He could see it in your eyes that it was a lie. He stole a kiss from your lips, leaving you stunned.
“Come back later once everyone is asleep if you're interested”
After that, the entire day he's been stuck inside your head. Your heart and your head constantly fought with each other. It's now lights out in the Fortress of Meropide. ‘Why are you here?’ you asked yourself, slowly closing the door by pressing your back against it. You stood at the foot of the stairs.
Those icy eyes we're back, peering into your soul. “I was beginning to think you weren't coming” his voice gave off a playful aura you couldn't help but be entranced by. You walked up the stairs until you were right in front of him. “I apologize for keeping you waiting”
“Don't be sorry. I should be thanking you for letting me ruin your innocence” The most innocent thing about you might be your face if anything at all. So many thoughts of how you wanted him to ruin you until one spilled out your mouth. “I don't want to walk after this”
A sly grin painted his face upon hearing you say such naughty words. He leaned down to your ear, wrapping his arms around your waist to keep you from falling back.
“As you wish, ma sale salope”

Not gonna write a POV definitely not, cuz English isn't my first langua-
"I see you've reach a dizzying high level in the criminals when I wasn't here." You said while examining the man in front of you. It's been quite a long while since you two encountered each other.
"Oh, dear y/n, things have been so very dull when you're not here committing tremendous crimes and tricking me." Wriothesley replied with a clam tone, smiling at you as if you two are really some old friends. Yet you feel oddly comfortable with the way he's speaking.
You raise your brow: "I never thought you'll missed a criminal of intelligence. But worry not, there will be plenty of filthy crime happening while I'm in the Fortress of Meropide."
"Is it your game of deception again? I would gladly play it with you as my opponent. Just give me the chance to." You see his eyes shine, enlighten about the idea of capturing and chasing you again. Seems like things had really been quite uninteresting when you're not here. Well, perhaps it's a good thing that you decided to return.
You sight, furrowing your eye brow acting like you're feeling pity.: "Sadly, no. My grace. This time your competitor won't be me this time, I'm just a messenger. This facility will be destroyed, tonight. Good luck in stopping that." Such empty excuse to meet him. You thought. Even yourself couldn't grasp why u yearn to meet him again. This time you'll allow yourself to, just this once. This once. Then you will turn your head and never return again.
He tilt his head as if he's not understanding what's happening.: "Ah, such a good chance for me to do that, just this short period of one night? And you came here specifically just to tell me that?"
"I still love to mock people." You said with a cold laugh.
He shake his head, still smiling as he walk close to you. You take a step back, telling him to not step any closer with this move.
He smirked, glancing at you .:"Oh, Come on now, we all know that's not true and you came here for some other reason. Is it simply because you missed me?"
Your heartbeat speed after his word, no, you don't you absolutely DON'T.
"Not that. Just like I've mentioned, your time is ticking. I will not proceed to waste your precious time from now on. Luck." You reply calmly as you take a few step backward.
He did not reply, so you turn your head and walk away.
Yet he did not let you walk away. He grab your hand and you stop immediately. You try to swing your arm to set free of your wrist. But he hold you tighter, pulling you closer to him.
Your heart speed again, with his face so close to you. The lips of yours almost touching his, his breath felt warm, despite him having a Cryo vision. His usual cold blue eyes now filled with yearning, looking straight into your eyes.
"But I missed you, y/n." He said with a rather low voice, as if he's afraid that others will heard it.
Your eyes opened wide, not sure what you must say. But surprisingly, you felt so delighted when you heard his word. Like a warm liquid has poured into your cold heart that have been left alone for such a long time.
"You...?" You spilled out a word, unable to continue your sentence.
He held up your hand up to his face. Closing his eyes, he use the back of your fingers to bruised his cheeks.
"I missed you. So, so much. I missed you everyday when I'm here, I missed your sly schemes, your cunning tricks, your charms, your present, your beauty, your fight with me, your smiles, your intelligence, everything about you. " He said softly, as if talking to his lover.
Your mind become blank as he's speaking, butterflies full in your stomach. You don't know what to do, what to say, you just let him pulled you closer to him, let him hug you tightly.
"I, I missed you too, Wriothesley." you reply to him after some moment of silence. You hugged him back, the warmth of his body warming you.
"Please don't leave me, ever again, y/n." He whisper.
"I'm afraid that I can't stay long, Wriothesley." You reply honestly. You still have other business to deal with outside the Fortress of Meropide.
With that he pulled back, looking at you with unwillingness and craving. :" Why.....At least, at least for this one night? Please?"
"I could, but I'll go when the sun rises." You look away from his eye, you don't want to leave either.
He sight, holding your arm tightly, resting down his head on your shoulder.
"Fine, just a chance for me to prove how much I love you, only for this one night, y/n."
Guess I came early, gonna wait for Pov writers to show up.
